    Impressions of Honest Hearts

One of the stranger ones out there http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zE322LKw9qo It's oh so silly but watching those people get annihilated by a swarm of loyal beasts just makes me chuckle.

    Impressions of Honest Hearts

I've not finished it yet but it was confirmed by MCA, and people on the Wiki are saying that after HH vendors in the Mojave will begin to stock the .45 pistol and machine gun so you can probably drop those and just keep the unique ones when going back. [EDIT:] I reckon you should be fine...

    Impressions of Honest Hearts

There are obviously no more environmental hazards like the radios, speakers and fogs, although there are lots of traps and tripwires in caves. [Edit: no more trial and error, in other words] The Yao Guai and White Leg tribespeople do pose a threat; provided you're playing on Level 30/35 the...

    Impressions of Honest Hearts

Uh oh. Sounds like it might be 'reload a previous save' time. I've currently got an annoying bug where my vision is permanently blurred from being poisoned by some White Legs. Using Dantura Antivenom and normal Antivenom just repeatedly brings up the 'Poison removed' notification, and hard...

    Impressions of Honest Hearts

Have you been going back to feed him more banana yucca? You should still get the 'interact with bighorner calf' window. Bloody Follows-Chalk tells me to try not to kill any of them, and so I'm there doing my best to sneak past, got the calf following me and almost at the end and then suddenly...

Also, outside of the quests, finding those messages left on the terminals of that survivor: brilliant.

    Impressions of Honest Hearts

I'm enjoying it so far, still really early into the quests having just met Graham, have mainly been spending my time wandering around. Is it just me or is there a discerning lack of ambient music? Most of the time it's just silence, and strangely the Brotherhood military-style theme tends to...

Could the Chosen One appear in future DLC?

I was hoping that the Chosen One would have his own statue in NCR territory around Vegas, like the Vault Dweller had in Fallout 2. But otherwise I'm happy with the references to him, and imagine that he turned out to be a fine New Arroyo leader. I'd like to think that once everyone went their...

What was your first character like?

My first character had high Charisma, Luck and Intelligence, tagged skills Speech, Lockpick, and Survival (in hindsight, a bit of waste as Hardcore mode wasn't as hardcore as I'd hoped), who was a failed writer-turned-desperate alcoholic whose best moments would come when he was drunk, hence the...

Anybody miss the game over analogies from F01+F02?

Agreed. There was an epicness about the player character's achievements in FO2 which even surpassed FO1 in my opinion. FO2's writing in general was utterly amazing, and the intro sequence is still probably my favourite intro to any game, particularly with the ending line "...but the earth has...

What path would you take if FO games were for real?

I'd happily settle down as a caravan guard living in the Hub or at the Boneyard. Or in FO2, go to Broken Hills and hang out with the Ghouls and Mutants at the bar, trying to break up the bouts of racial tension through high speech skill. I only wish that FNV let you work as a caravan guard...

Worst glitch ever (or are there more?)

The biggest one I've encountered, even worse than the one you mentioned, is on the top of Black Mountain. After entering the room where Rhonda is, coming out caused the broadcasting dishes to completely fall into the ground and get stuck, slowing the game down like crazy. It was an absolutely...

    Characters, the good and bad.

My favourite characters from New Vegas, and the one who stood out for me, are: Arcade, Cass, The King, No-Bark Noonan, Fantastic, and even Primm Slim & Deputy Beagle would get a mention in my book for chuckles. I really enjoyed those initial, still-finding-your-way quests. And of course...

Anybody miss the game over analogies from F01+F02?

I definitely miss them. So well written and so fitting in the old games. They could do it quite well with this iteration of the series too, methinks, continuing on from the slow-mo death animation and making that fade into a slow skeleton-isation (?) of your character.

    Factions on the side

The answer to your question: [spoiler:1b8a91718a]That will happen if you side with Mr House or an Independent Vegas, as the Remnants will only fight for NCR or Legion. There's no way you can get them to not pick either side if you finish for Auld Lang Syne[/spoiler:1b8a91718a]

    FONV feels unfinished

The game only got a little disappointing for me - location wise - upon entering the Vegas outskirts, and then finally Vegas itself. It just seemed completely barren - like the Kings members outside Freeside remark on how crowded the place already is - and then there's like 8 people in the whole...

    Aha, best ending yet!

Isn't it ironic that while having Arcade as a companion, his advice to you all throughout the game is that he prefers an independent Vegas outcome - and yet taking this path inevitably leads to you fighting the Enclave if you enlisted their help in For Auld Lang Syne. I wonder if that...

    Aha, best ending yet!

My favourite endings are the Remnants and Arcade ones. After several playthroughs and trying out different things Arcade's endings are often tragic, especially the ones where you side with Caesar (the *hushed* one in particular) One annoying thing for me though is that, as far as I know, you...
