They removed the Fatman from the Japanese version in FO3, probably the same deal in NV.

Didn't even notice (I assume you mean the little bit at the shoulder?). If this is the extent of the power armor clipping, that's great news to me.

I'll say this: worked for Old Man Logan. I can understand an argument against the Latin, but are pants really that much more protective than skirts? Plus, it is a desert, ventilation is important. Scream was satire. Craven wasn't trying to avoid horror cliches, he was embracing them...

    Caravan rules revealed

Since the game isn't even out yet (and "lack of content" doesn't seem to be one of the fears people are voicing) you are essentially complaining about getting extra free content. As for character-based skills, would you prefer NV had a new game with its own rules that people talked about but...

Fallout: New Vegas opening cinematic revealed

Weren't you also criticizing NV for having too much old lore, and deemed it lazy fan service?

Explain? I can't tell if you're being really subtle or what. I'm faaaaaaaairly certain they've mentioned Poker is a playable game, as well as some game they made up where you have to collect the cards around the wasteland.

All Roads graphic novel 12-page preview now available

The art is no Frank Quitely (my secret hope) but it's functional. It's the other way around, as well. Alan Moore (and other good writers) talk a lot about how they tailor their stories to fit their artists' strengths.

Hey a list: -"Miss Fortunate Occurrences"? Possibly a gambling/luck related Mysterious Stranger? Intriguing -"Have Limbs Crippled" instead of just "Limbs Crippled"? OMG boycott'd -Some sort of neo-Harry -Possible pet molerat, also possibly adorable -Really polygonal flowers, omg...

Interesting that all the speculation about the ghoul space program from the rockets in the trailer turned out to be true. Personally I'm intrigued. Also, thanks a lot guys. Now the Internet's quota for rolling eyes emoticons is all used up for the month.

    Feargus Urquhart at QuakeCon

Well, it popped into my head more as an example of a game that doesn't really involve traditional player-driven combat or skills, rather than as an RPG. Now that I'm thinking about it though, it does make use of choices and consequences, and a flexible storyline. Sure there is no inventory or...

    Feargus Urquhart at QuakeCon

If you take this to its logical conclusion, every RPG except for maybe Heavy Rain has sucked at role-playing combat, including Fallout 1. It is YOUR sense of tactics and strategy that defines the outcome of your battles and not your ingame character's intelligence or fighting expertise...

    GameTrailers interviews Chris Avellone

I can't help but wonder how many derisive cries of "juvenile/frat boy humor" the Sunset Sarsaparilla poster would have received if it had been made by Bethesda (for more, compare reactions to the girl popping out babies in the FO3 teaser to those of the Child Killer image). A Rybicki for the...

Why there are no ladders in Bethesda/Gamebryo games

Alpha Protocol is being used a lot as an example of a game with ladders, and I have to ask: Did no one else have a ton of problems getting stuck on freaking ladders in that game? And while we're on the topic of AI, the less said about AP the better. Anyways, FO3 played just fine without...

    Hello, old friend

Modern games tend to use automatic lip synching routines, because it's a waste of time to do it by hand for every single line of dialogue in the game, especially in an RPG.
