Fallout 3 is the second-greatest PC game of all time

I'm not asshole enough to bitch about all the choices in the list, but come on. Did anyone enjoy the boat levels in Half-Life 2? At all?

    J.E. Sawyer continues on Formspring

Most "open-world" games accomplish or try to accomplish it. Really depends how you define "stories". Everyone has a story about some crazy shit they did in Just Cause 2 (or GTA for that matter) that is completely plot-separate.

    PC Gamer US Preview Scans

I'm impressed by the Phineas Gage reference. The writer had to be just itching to throw that somewhere.

Duck and Cover interviews Tim Cain

It's rare to see someone argue that FO3 was not large, nor had good marketing.

    Chris Avellone talks Fallout 3

Maybe Avellone just liked Fallout 3? Maybe? I know Yahtzee liking it was quite a blow to some people, but you're going to have to accept that people like this game. Except for, you know, the hearthstone.

OXM responds to the Fallout community

Come on, man. Both FO and FO2 have an extremely slow intro, an unintuitive interface, and drab graphics in the beginning. My brother didn't bite when I showed him either, and I don't blame him for it, I blame a game that takes a little time to get going. The best route, that originally worked...

USA Today previews Fallout: New Vegas

That'll make for riveting gameplay. And if you do have a vehicle to traverse it, I don't think I've ever seen a game randomly throw vehicle physics and handling into a franchise and turn out okay.

Interview with J.E. Sawyer on Xbox Live

Maybe you're only talking about the FPS genre, but come on man. Even the Fallout manual told you to save every 3 seconds. Autosaves just make sense. I hope to god this is your actual opinion, if only because it is so beautifully unique and insane. Bioshock is one of the highest rated...

Fallout: New Vegas OXM preview scans

The article and their old FO3 review were not written by the same person, but hey. Don't let that stop your knee-jerk bile. Saying the word "Rybicki" makes you sound super-smart, for reals!

New Vegas tidbits: Mark Morgan and cinematics

I was never into Morgan's soundtrack either. With the exception of The Glow, most of it seemed to be pretty generic ambient. Here's a suggestion that's a little out there: Tomandandy. Their soundtrack for The Hills Have Eyes remake was far better than it deserved to be, and would fit pretty well.

Fallout listed as most significant game of 1997.

I would've agreed with you a couple months ago, but now that I'm actually in Korea, all I have to say is that EverQuest does not have whole TV channels dedicated to watching people play it. StarCraft 2 is going to be goddamn judgment day. But that's Korea. Interestingly, Counter-Strike is...

    Ardent's Fallout 2 Mod announced

Well maybe you don't have to go to all the work of animating a Truffle Shuffle (although you absolutely should), but I'm just stuck for any other interesting pop culture references there. All I can remember of the place is the Goonies Fest once a year, and so many sea lions on the docks that...

    Ardent's Fallout 2 Mod announced

Ugh, no shocker that Spokane would become a den of sin and inequity. If I don't see some irradiated sea lions in Astoria, you can color me disappointed. Also, the truffle shuffle in some form or another. WHOO NORTHWEST WHOOOO
