    Short range accuracy for long range weapons

    I read that in Fallout 2 long range weapons, such as the sniper rifle, have a to-hit penalty at close ranges. Does anybody know what the minimum range to get such a penalty is? It would affect how I tinker with the weapon ranges in the mod I am working on. Thank you very much for your help.
