Fallout 4- Wasteland Workshop Trailer is out. Your thoughts?

I don't really understand any of the appeal for this. Why would I put my immortal companions in a deathmatch? Why would I set up elaborate death traps just for NPCs to wander into? Are there actual in-game justifications for why anyone living in my settlements would just agree to these cage...

    Wasted Potential

Dogmeat, weirdly enough. The game plays him up to be some kind of legendary figure in the Commonwealth, but it amounts to nothing. It would've been neat to see how exactly Dogmeat gained this status, but I guess Emil kinda forgot about that.

    Fallout toys and figurines

I was hoping that they'd release a Deathclaw statue with the Fallout 4 design. Nothing else they have now is particularly interesting or memorable, especially since they give the West Coast games the shaft.

I don't think Legendary weapons should be in the game.

After playing Automatron on Survival, Legendary weapons have royally fucked up the weapon balance of the DLC. Trying to get through the hordes of shitbots without an explosive weapon may as well be impossible. And the new DLC weapons aren't even that useful compared to the regulat ones you can...

    Automatron opinion thread.

The Mechanist plot is pretty much 100% rehashed from "The Superhuman Gambit". Reckless idiot who uses robots in a poorly thought out attempt to do good ends up making the entire situation much worse for everyone. And the Rust Devils were even worse. They're literally just raiders who hang up...

I don't think Legendary weapons should be in the game.

They really could've given Legendary enemies better abilities than an instant-regen. Raiders should go berserk on Psycho and Jet, Gunners could use Med-X to reduce damage or use stealth boys, robots could go into an overclocked state, and Super Mutants could hulk out to deal massive melee damage.

I don't think Legendary weapons should be in the game.

Normal Assaultrons only do it as a last-ditch attack.

I don't think Legendary weapons should be in the game.

Fuck the Legendary robots. Having them explode on death is such a blatantly stupid design choice that does nothing but screw over melee players. And it always gets me because the only robots that regularly explode are Sentry Bots so I never expect it.

What is it with Bethesda and nonsensical settlements?

Someone had to set up all of those workbenches. Then again the houses themselves look like they haven't been entered for over 200 years considering all of the junk inside.

    Automatron dlc looks completely boring

What's up with Bethesda making characters with an absurd attachment to comic books? Is it too hard to actually make an interesting villain with a realistic motivation?

What is it with Bethesda and nonsensical settlements?

I wonder how the people who praise Bethesda for their "environmental storytelling" and attention to small details justify how the most prosperous trading settlement in the Commonwealth is surrounded in all directions by enemy mobs.

    Institute Kidnappings?

I think they use the people they kidnap as fodder for their Super Mutant "experiments". And why does the Institute even allow FEV research anyway? They've been going at it for over 100 years and they've produced literally nothing of value. It would've made perfect sense to have Father ban FEV...

    Fallout 4 vs Fallout 2

I've never seen this topic get examined in great detail, so I think it could make for an interesting discussion. So, has anyone made a comparison between how Black Isle and Bethesda handled their first sequels for their respective entries into the Fallout series? Things such as showing how much...

"Kid In The Fridge" Quest = the stupidest quest ever.

Not really, but this quest stood out for me more since I did this one way before the ghoul kid quest. I just really can't stand how much of the spotlight Bethesda gives to the pre-war era since it makes the world feel so stagnant. Still, the chinese sub is still pretty damn awful all things...

"Kid In The Fridge" Quest = the stupidest quest ever.

Is it too late to add the quest with the Chinese submarine?

Hearing "War never changes" in Fallout 4 is so cringeworthy.

Oh yeah, from the first trailer, right? I just prefer the line to be associated with Ron's disembodied voice. Does anyone really need an in-universe origin for a tagline? And the dialogue was kind of awkward too. Who really says that when their home country is getting nuked?

Hearing "War never changes" in Fallout 4 is so cringeworthy.

I just can't stand blatant insertions of taglines into the actual plot of stories. It's a huge peeve of mine.

Hearing "War never changes" in Fallout 4 is so cringeworthy.

I can't say this about many games, but Fallout 4's intro made me put my controller down and walk away from my TV the instant I heard the male SS's voice. If it wasn't bad enough that Ron Perlman was reduced to basically a cameo and their blatant disregard for anyone intending on playing as a...

Bethesda planning a survival overhaul. Has hell frozen over?

Removing fast travel in a game made entirely around using fast travel seems incredibly stupid. It'd be nice to have something like Skyrim's carriages, but whatever.
