    Enclave in FO3

It's pretty symptomatic of Beth as a whole: Railroad the player through a bunch of scenes from a B-movie and call it an RPG because it has stats and you can wander off in another direction. All their plot events, quite simply, suck. Hard.

So, anyone struggle through as a non-combat character?

That's called twinking in my book of RPGs. And yes, ducking in and out of cover is a valid tactic. But if there's enough of them (And let's not go into having Bozar) they'll eventually get around that corner and kill you. You're talking about beating FO2 without armour because you're twinking...

Intelligent Deconstruction Review of Fallout 3

I figure, now that FO3's actually out, the best we can hope for is a leakage of Van Buren from somewhere once it's safe. Bethshit's got their money now, less likely to cry to mommy.

    Impressions thread for positive impressions

Where is this idea coming from that text is outdated? Notice how all the conversations have subtitles? That's TEXT THERE. And frankly, I read way faster than the NPCs talk. So I skip through their speeches anyway, which makes them sound grotesque and kills that immersion you're ranting on about...

The brother hood of Steel in FO3

Enough lurking. Why I didn't join NMA years ago is beyond me. Personally, the schism isn't too difficult a concept to follow, except that it should make Lyons' group the outcasts, not those who follow the original ethos. Yes, they call themselves Outcasts out of spite, but still...
