    bethesda to r@pe fallout?

And for yourself, I would suggest a game called Silent Storm. Basically, it's a more recent turn-based game.

    Longtime fan benefits

A nice idea in theory, but the reality is that you would have a group of people ranting that Bethesda put spyware on their PC to detect other installed software.

What do you want to see in the F3 Collector´s Edition?

Complete source code so modders can clean up any mess Bethesda leaves behind.

Re: A little bit of Fallout 3 talk from editor of PC gamer.. Oh god. Since when did pausing become a turn?

Out of the Shadows, a Fallout 3 Lead Designer Steps

It was an expansion to Morrowind after all, you couldn't expect anything different apart from some new quests and different scenery. Even with the Werewolf decision, it was more of a "treat the disease", "do nothing" rather than an option, almost exactly like having vampirism.

Tim Cain on Fallout and Fallout 3

I do see it as a chance for the mainstream gaming community to embrace the Fallout series. From what I have seen, casual gamers that have been shown the original Fallout games were quick to appreciate the detail that went in to those games. Even if Fallout 3 is a gross mutation of the original...

Suggestion thoughts now that you've seen the engine.

Silent Storm did a great job of making a 3D turn based shooter. If they make the gameplay like that along with the SPECIAL system and some good dialog, there's nothing wrong with a "modern" FO3.

    Slightly better NMA

Definately a lot faster than it was previously. Whatever you did, it was good.

What weapon do you think fallout is missing the most?

Flamethrower - though fuel would be a rare find Bow and Arrow - What else would you find in a tribe?

Fallout in the top 3 rpgs on RPGDot.com!

    13. Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines That should have been higher than the Elder Scrolls. I would even put it right next to Fallout 1 and 2 as my picks. But by far the most hilarious part has to be how Warcraft 3 beat Diablo 2.

A preview of the new and improved S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Most of the changes do seem logical. Would you really want a game where some random NPC finishes the game for you?

Finally someone that saw FO3 up close and personal.

Elander: Yes, there is a growing rift between gamers that appreciate a good role playing experience and those that are simply out to bash some skulls in. However, there are gamers out there that have seen and enjoyed both areas of gaming. I have both enjoyed the deep role playing nature of...

Suggestion thoughts now that you've seen the engine.

I think Bloodrayne did a fair job of providing gory animations to 3D models. If you combine this gore with tactical gameplay like Silent Storm, add in the scenery of the Gamebryo engine and a story to rival the previous Fallout games, then we should have a Fallout 3 that will make us proud.

The Oblivion Engine, can it be tweaked to Van Buren style?

Yes. GameBryo is the Oblivion/Fallout 3 engine. Havok is simply the physics component.

Fallout repeats last year's E3 showing

It would be fantastic if they had a little teaser trailer at E3. I can just visualise it...opening up on a deserted cityscape with Ron Perlman voicing "War. War never changes".

The Oblivion Engine, can it be tweaked to Van Buren style?

http://www.devmaster.net/engines/engine_details.php?id=32 http://www.emergent.net/index.php?source=gamebryo http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamebryo The game engine was used in Freedom Force, an isometric action "rpg". With a little tweaking, anything is possible.

Turn based, Real time or other?

Definately turn-based. It allows for more precision when it comes to combat. Games like Silent Storm combined modern visuals and turn based gameplay to make a fun game to play.

Suggestion thoughts now that you've seen the engine.

First of all, I don't think Bethesda will make something as good as the original Fallout games. But what I do believe is that Fallout 3 will be a great game no matter what. Worst case scenario is that it turns in to a Deus Ex IW, with the individual game being a great game by itself, but holds...

Suggestion thoughts now that you've seen the engine.

I would like to bring your attention to a short article in this months PC Powerplay, which is about the use of numbers in RPG games. As Joshua Hull writes, the problem with RPGs is that they are infested with "these evil bloody numerals!". Numbers were perfectly acceptable to represent a...

Fallout essence distilled...soundbites to shut people up

I feel a certain need to defend Bethesda in this situation as there are many misconceptions and false assumptions. If you are playing Oblivion to see what Fallout 3 will be like, then that is the first mistake. The two are different games with different approaches. Elder Scrolls has always been...
