The spitoonist has replied to my PMs in the past asking for more of his comic... but no updates were forthcoming.

    The Guns and Ammo Thread

Wow... this thread has not been updated in a long time... Hmmm I just got a gen 2.5 Glock 21 (.45 cal) for $350. It has some holster wear, but is in excellent shape.

I love Manlicher stocks! I really really want one. There is a Zastava that is being sold in the USA for a reasonable price that I might grab. IIRC- Don Johnson used a Manlicher stocked Ruger M77 in "A Boy and His Dog"

I normally see Sears/pennys/woolworth 12 Gauge pumps for $200, name brands like those are $250-300. The Auto loader (browning patent) is worth more, but it looks like its got some pitting (or is that engraving on the top rear)

    Invaded States of America

Probably wherever they are secretly storing the warheads that have been removed from ballistic missiles and bombs. We probably have more that are being decommissioned and or stored than are actually deployed. That being said, there are probably a lot of nukes in the Dakotas (in Minute Man...

    [Fan Film] Fallout: Nuclear Winter

Nuclear winter is a pretty common term. No need to worry.

i cant think of any .44s that would be as weak as the .22lr except maybe a volcanic rocket ball or something (but I think they are smaller in diameter)

if you are talking about the .44-40, i dont know the Joules off the top of my head, but I would expect it to be very similar to the .45LC

Depending on your project, something you might want to consider... any bullet (except probably the .22 CB) can kill someone in a single hit if that hit is in a vital area. No game that I can remember takes that into account. Example- .22lr is a well known killer, but usually those shots have...

Since this is for a game (PnP or video) you might want to give these books a try. They are heavy on the calculations, but would probably be useful for your needs. They are out of date as far as models and some new calibers, but you could build your own new equations etc. using their existing...

I agree 100% with what suaside said. His advice is way better than most you will find online. Most of the time, gun advice is a backhanded way of bragging about the expensive crap the speaker owns.

Well... I was planning on taking the magazine safety out as well.. They are going to be checked out by a gunsmith (the one who is putting the new sights on them) They look to have been arsenal refinished (or completely rebuilt) at some point.

Got a deal on former Israeli hi powers via gunbroker. A friend of mine and I bought three in total. He fronted the money so he gets first pick when they arrive. I get the remaining two. Hopefully they are as good as they look via web page. I am going to have Novak sights put on one...

I want a Sig 938 (9mm). I think thats what I am getting for X-Mas. I like the Czech CZ-82/83s, but they are around $300 each and like I said, I already have two Makarovs. I Have thought about getting the sights changed on one of the makarovs by adding new sights from the colt mustang or...

    The Guns and Ammo Thread

I have always liked the Makarov. For its size, it has a decent amount of power and the cost was right... though it does have more felt recoil than many people are comfortable with. Both of mine were commercial versions from Arsenal and cost me $150ea. I think one of them came with a...

    The Guns and Ammo Thread

W00T I just got my concealed pistol license in the mail. it took 10 days. The only thing I have that is small enough to be reasonable to carry is a Makarov (bulgarian), so that is what I will carry (using russian FMJ ammo) until I get something else (probably a Sig 938)
