Well, yes. In fact this is not a problem... this is a feature, as the saying goes :P He can heal you as a doctor before you first pick him up (like through dialogue: "So I'll just heal you now and you'll pay me lotsa money!"). However, once you do, there's no way to get him to heal you like...
