    Hellgate: London CE contents revealed

After watching the intro and some of the demo movies I have to say that this game looks kind of cheesy. It doesn't make sense that they have armor with neon lights all over it. You may as well say "hey demons, I'm over here, come and get me". I think Bioshock looks a lot better. Mick

    Fallout 3 at E3 - Armchair Empire

Building a manufacturing plant from scratch would be a very big job, and not something that you'd expect from the BOS. You have to remember that there'd be a million different parts in each of those vertibirds: circuit boards, valves, tyres, nuts/bolts and a large number of specially shaped...

    Fallout 3 at E3 - Gamehelper

Sorry for jumping on you like that and calling you a troll. I've noticed a lot of uninformed first posters recently who just tell everyone to chill out and give Beth a go. Nonetheless, it's not my place to pass judgment so I shouldn't have had a go at you. Welcome to NMA. :) Mick

    Fallout 3 at E3 - PlayFeed

At least this reviewer admits that what they saw was very similar to Oblivion, but in a PA world. Still another fairly positive review though. Are there any reviewers that hated it? Any at all that feel it betrays the original FO games? :? Mick

    Fallout 3 at E3 - Gamehelper

No problems, I'll watch that in future. Do the strikes dissipate over time? :) By the way, you've quoted me above (in the paragraph that starts with WOW), but I didn't make this comment. Just letting you know. Mick

    Fallout 3 at E3 - Gamehelper

So I've got 2 strikes? What does that mean? Are you saying that people posting uninformed opinions saying "you guys are all wrong, FO3 is going to be great!" should be ignored? Mick

    Fallout 3 at E3 - Gamehelper

*Sigh* It must be troll season, they're crawling out of the woodwork. You say Fallout's your favorite RPG, and yet you seem to have to show a <s>typical</s> surprising lack of knowledge for all things Fallout. No real surprise here. Mick

Dear god, Rat Scorpions?!? What new unholy creatures have Beth been dreaming up now? :) Run along little troll. Mick

    Fallout 3 at E3 - Joystiq impressions

It's mentioned every time because the idea behind the Fatman is stupid. How can you possibly fire a nuclear weapon, however small, at an enemy nearby and not expect to be affected by the blast or radiation. On the same track, it's just as stupid to have nuclear powered cars that explode when...

    BioShock requirements

Not that I especially want to kill children, but it does show Beth up for being pussies. Why don't they just admit that this is not in the game because they're trying to appeal to every age group to increase sales. Mick

    Interplay pays up

Agreed. Have to give credit where it is due. Whatever their motives Beth did the right thing here, and it shows that their business practices towards their employees and creditors are a lot better than Herves. Mick

    PC Gamer UK scans

Beth didn't need to totally re-invent the wheel with FO3. For example, they could have used the original gun designs from FO, which still look great IMO. Mick

    PC Gamer UK scans

Whatever it is it's certainly shiny! :P I wonder why almost all of the reviewers to date have been including the original pics from Beth's FO3 website (aircraft carrier etc). I thought it was made clear that these are not related at all to the game. :? Mick

So you can't shoot enemies in the groin, but you can eat corpses? Maybe Tod & Pete would prefer to eat groins rather than shoot them. :P Mick

New articles on Fallout 3 Blog

Mind you, in the 50s wealth more often than not = education, as compared to nowadays where the wealthy are more likely to have a background in rap or sports. I couldn't imagine being in a vault with P.Diddy and David Beckham, but maybe that's what Beth's aiming for with vault 101. :P Mick

New articles on Fallout 3 Blog

*Sigh* I know you're referring to BOS, but there must have been some smart people in the vaults, just not vault 101 by the sound of it. Don't worry, I've obviously belabored this point to death. :lalala: Doh! You're probably right, I've mixed this one up. I haven't played FO1 & 2 for a...

New articles on Fallout 3 Blog

Sorry, should have read "some" military personel and scientists. After all, who would have run the place (computers, maintenance etc). Also, wasn't the BOS made up of military personal? Maybe I used a bad example, but I was trying to point out that Vault 101 seems to be made up of rejects...

New articles on Fallout 3 Blog

I'm curious as to what type of people Vault 101 is made up of. The other vaults had military personel and scientists, whereas Vault 101 seems that it may have got the raw end of the stick and perhaps was where all the "special" people were sent. For those who have read Hitchhikers Guide, it's...

Ars technica joins the WP discussion

Good point. Mind you I'd almost prefer finding out that the reviewers are sell outs rather than that they actually believe the stuff that they're writing about FO3. Mick
