Thanks for the feedback TR :)
Sadly none of my machines are equipped to run modern games, so I'm reduced to playing 3 and NV on my 360. If I could get into the mod scene for those games I'd be a happy camper.
On the batteries and the weight, I'm looking at it from a modern grunts...
Wa alaikum assalaam, Sabirah. :) Thank you.
I'll stop by the thread, Richwizard. I had a keg with me when I came in, but I think someone made off with it while I was hanging up my coat.
Well, 8/10, because he looks like he'd be good at golf, but not so good at masturbating, what with the robes and all.
Then again, I've never tried to masturbate while wearing robes, so my assessment could be totally off base.
I can only speak from a US-centric point of view, as I was in the army from 2005-2011.
I honestly don't see power armor becoming a serious infantry weapon platform. Barring some totally incredible breakthroughs in materials science and energy production/storage systems, it will continue to...
I'd like to see (or rather hear) more emphasis put on ambient sounds in the next fallout. I could do without the theme music entirely, if effort was put into making a more realistic soundscape.
Similarly, I'd like to hear footsteps and clanks in that (supposedly) abandoned factory when the...
I'm just thinking out loud. If I offend your sensibilities, feel free to call me on it, but please don't be a jerk. I'll try to return the favor.
I'm making the assumption that the FO games are intended to be RPG's in the sense that they offer the *ability* to role play. From my...
I can understand that point of view. I suppose it just comes down to what one considers valuable in a game. I agree that it wouldn't have been earth shatteringly important, but (IMO) it would have added to the sense of immersion, given the player an added degree of freedom, and imposed a...
I liked the reloading / crafting in NV. As stated by others, the interface was sub-par, and there were some munitions I would have liked to see; subsonic rounds, tracers, etc. I played on 360 and I would have bartered my right thumb for a controller with a page down button.
Cooking...ugh...
Does there need to be a single canon ending?
I'd like to see FO4 start out the character creation screen with a request to load an end-game save from FO3 and NV, and then base the factions and main quest line of the new game on what you did in the previous games.
If it was in the games...
Since the premise of the thread was "Bethesda CAN..." I have to admit that, yes, Bethesda could use OP's theory to explain away the...um...quirks in FO3.
Of course they won't, but they could. Frankly, it's not a bad idea. I like it.
I was introduced to fallout by FO3, and I'm now...
