I think that Fallout 1 was too easy, but playing through it with the hardest difficulty and combat settings made it more of a challenge for the cathedral and Military base. As far as gameplay other than combat, both were too short.

In 200...3? my brother got me Fallout 1 for Christmas because it looked like an old DOS game I loved (Crusader). He didn't get them confused but he thought they would play similair. They really aren't much alike but I was hooked on Fallout ever since.

Yeah, I tried that before, didn't get any messages, but beating games right away takes the fun out of them. Beat Fallout 2 in 2 hours 1ce, with a good ending for every town. It wasn't as fun as it would have been if I played it for a week or two.
