Something to think about. A few words about Fallout 3 .

Not that I'm defending the clipping problems but I wouldn't lump them in with graphics issues. It's a result of bad collision detection which is a programming issue.

Something to think about. A few words about Fallout 3 .

As far as the graphics go I keep seeing comparisons to Mass Effect. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Mass Effect and for the most part the graphics were good. However it really is comparing apples and oranges. Mass Effect placed a huge premium on the characters themselves. The backgrounds...

The brother hood of Steel in FO3

I really haven't had much direct interaction with the BoS yet in FO3, apparently they're more closely linked to the main quest which I've done almost nothing with because I'm enjoying the exploring/sidequest aspect so far. But based on what I've seen of the BoS so far I don't see any glaring...

    *Sigh* Deathclaw armor?

Seriously, where are people running into Deathclaws? I'm almost level 17 and I still haven't seen one!?! I miss the nasty buggers and I look forward to gutting one soon.

    Motorcycles A Possible Addition?

I could see upkeep of the bike being a pain. What are you going to do when you're miles from anything and blow the front tire off with a land mine? Unless they make the bike invincible which would actually be even worse.

Cant get to museum of history, national archives

No sweat, just be prepared for a big karma hit if you go that route.

    Pop culture reference [SPOILER]

Right down the street are the Bethesda East and West office buldings. It's a good spot to hit early on, I found my first combat shotgun and first flamer in there.

    Armory (Megaton)

I apparently messed up the scripting for Simms getting shot down. I got the quest from Simms and went straight to the bomb to defuse it. Burke wasn't even in the bar went I went in. Apparently with the bomb defused he just left town and Simms is still wandering around town, alive and well...

    Fallout 3 : A succesful re-branding

This post made me stop and think for a bit. I think you're right, I think Shivering Isle was a much more atmospheric and more cohesive experience than Oblivion as a whole. It HAD choose and lose scenarios where you could not experience every aspect without a replay, it had some of the best...

    Planescape: Torment

Heh, wow I completely failed with my post didn't I? I typed faster than I was thinking apparently and didn't proofread it. I meant to compare it to BioWare's similar but not as in depth meters. It was of course created by Black Isle. *hangs head in shame for fail post*

    Fallout 3 : A succesful re-branding

The biggest complaint I have regarding Beths' treatment of the game is how broken and/or simplistic the dialogs are. It's hard to care for a lot of the characters and you can tell that they TRIED to come up with some unique ones. And how hard could it be to have properly branching...

    Planescape: Torment

My bad, I meant graphics. The talk of combat in the preceding posts apparently caused a freudian typing error.

    Planescape: Torment

Yes. It's one of the best written RPGs in terms of stories and dialog and the combat is very reminiscent of Fallout. I also think it had the best "Good/bad" meter that BioWare ever did because it also tracked your alignment in true DnD style. You started as true neutral and would slowly...

    Batty, Batty Roy

Heh, I attempted the peaceful solution and got frustrated so I just let the ghouls in. Of coures that was after I got Tenpenny to pay me not to kill and then shot him in the head anyway. Surprisingly enough I'm still a "good" guy. Go Regulators, the last remaining force of law, justice and...

    T-51b where?

Dukov and Crowely will both tell you if you pass a speech challenge. I haven't been there yet but it's almost all the way to the north, about a third of the way from the west corner of the map.

Cant get to museum of history, national archives

[spoiler:141c8d5614]If you help Roy Phillips out in the Tenpenny Tower quest line you get a ghoul mask that makes travel through the subways less combat intensive. But I always end up killing them anyway...[/spoiler:141c8d5614]

    Specs for new weapons

I've gotten multiples of a few schematics now. Check the actual schematic note in your PipBoy for specifics on what changed. Usually it makes the item start out with higher condition or increases the damage slightly. One of my friends who is playing through with the strategy guide in his...

    T-51b where?

Hmm, I gave Crowley the first two keys. Hopefully I can double cross him and steal them back when I get the last one. Even if the T-51b sucks to use, the helmet will look nice on my workbench.

    Leveling guide

Since we're calculating skill points/boosters keep in mind that there are articles of clothing that add skill points as well. Clothes I carry with me: Vault 101 Utility jumpsuit. +5 lockpick and +5 repair. Button Gwinnets Wig. I can't remember the exact stats but it has (I'm at work...

Boast Your Fallout Box's,Also: Localizations Suck (F3 split)

I loved my big box. Too bad my brother sat on it less than five minutes after I got the game out. The spiral bound instruction book was very cool though.
