ratty, I must strongly disagree. Atlhlon is an exellent CPU. There is a problem however of a good chipset. Athlon doesn't have a good mobo for it, but P4 does. Athlon XP 1800 costs are almost the same as... err, Intel's Celeron 2.0 but can you compare the two of them? AMD is a great choice...

you'll need a crossover cable if you have 2 lan cards already. You can buy it pretty cheap or find someone with a crimp tools to make you one.

not bad, but I still would give us total control. And if you like to tell then what to do in combat, you must loose one AP for wasting time giving them these orders... Unless your running, shooting and yelling at the same time :)
