    Fallout not influential

Obviously crafting a new genre (Zelda 1, Metroid, Dune 2) or redefining an existing one (Fallout, Starcraft) is nowhere near as important than slightly upgrading it (OoT, GTA3, Halo).

    Dune...

I read "classics" and personally I have not found one that I've liked.

    Dune...

I loved the first book. It is, in my opinion, the best novel ever. However, I hated Dune Messiah and never really picked up the series. The intrigue and mystery kinda dies out at the end of the first one and nothing really reflected the same. Well, actually I read and enjoyed Dune: House...

    McDonald's Coffee case

Am I the only one that's seeing "brewed at 195-205" and "maintained at 180-190"?

    Warning Labels

Over 160? Ech. That is too hot. I was basing my assumptions on anything over 135 (which isn't actually that hot). But still, if you squeeze the cup with your legs so it spills, Darwin award for you.

    Warning Labels

Actually it is. You can receive a third degree burn from a lot of things: http://www.cqc.state.ny.us/newsletter/estime.htm. The coffee was most likely anything from 135 degrees upwards.

new char questions (would be urgent)

Unless of course you decide to grab 10 Endurance, 10 Perception, and 10 Luck with all the other stats at 1. That's a bad way to play the game methinks.

    A.I.!

It seems to have trouble with the word "pants". I've tried twice and both times it's gone over the twenty question limit.

    Abstinence=Crap

I'd much prefer a society that practices safe sex rather than "practices" abstinence. At least, we'd have less STDs and teen pregnancies to worry about that way.

Is there any hope for CRPGs in the near future?

The problem with CRPGs is that the mainstream gamers desire MMO"RPG"s and FF "RPG"s. When time comes around, people would rather make money than make a quality game. As much as we think that Fallout and Torment are awesome (because they are), the market tends to think otherwise so the truly...

    Prostitution

Don't you think that because it's illegal that it often gets associated with other illegal activities? Alcohol was connected to the mafia back when Al Capone ruled Chicago, and the only that it continued to thrive was because it was illegal. Legality isn't going to stop things from happening if...

What games do you hate, yet are popular with others?

So does this gives the right to China to massively produce pirated software? Every piece of software is $1 US.

    RPGs for the stupid

I can't play through CT ever again (only done through 3 times). After Torment, Fallout, and hell even BG2, CT seems so dull. Replayability: zip.

    RPGs for the stupid

From what I've played of Gothic (which I haven't too much but I should more), it's like Morrowind, except not boring. The quests actually feel worthwhile to accomplish and the world isn't full of generic NPCs. Of course, I haven't gotten too far in the game, mostly because I forget to save for...

    The OLD Zelda games..........

http://www.vnunet.com/news/1146800 http://computercops.biz/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=3923 From the looks of it, UK is far worse than the US is.

    The OLD Zelda games..........

Blah, this is what I get for listening to teachers. And no, it's not legal to download any copy of anything. You are allowed to make a backup for yourself only; any transfer of the said backup is deemed illegal.

    The OLD Zelda games..........

There is no law prohibiting the number of times a copyright is renewed so as long as the proper owner renews it. It doesn't even have to be the creator; if I sell my right to produce a game to you (aka the license), you can prolong it as long as you live. Then in your will, you can explicitly...

    The OLD Zelda games..........

Copyrights are intellectual protection (original works and what not). Patents are scientific protection (new ideas that'll generally benefit society). A copyright can be maintained indefinitely, whereas a patent may be renewed once (I believe they last 20 years). Patents are designed so that...
