What games do you hate, yet are popular with others?

At least Zelda doesn't attempt to sell itself as an RPG (most of the time anyways).

What games do you hate, yet are popular with others?

I'm not saying it's weak. I'm saying it's developed with no thought process involved. Apparently you're agreeing with me ;).

What games do you hate, yet are popular with others?

I rather enjoy magic based characters; however, in Arcanum it makes no sense. Each tree is only five levels deep? Seriously, even I could do better than that. Hell, even Diablo 2 made a deeper skill tree!

    The OLD Zelda games..........

Well, I'm not sure if this is completely legal, but Nintendo knows about it and didn't take any action against it. http://www.zeldaclassic.com Full remake of the original, not ROM, not crap, just pure goodness. Even comes with its own level editor.

    RPGs of 2005 part 3

Torment... TORMENT!!! Completely different style, but it's still an awesome RPG, unless you don't like reading poetic literature ;). Torment's engine was based off Baldur's Gate's engine made by BioWare. That counts right, Ratty?

Stuck in Military Base. No way out?

Sigh, it was one of the reasons I hated Fallout 2 for so long. Edit: Wow Per, you wrote that awesome FAQ that saved my life a million times over. Thanks! :D

Stuck in Military Base. No way out?

Still doesn't beat my first save file in Fallout 2: Load a different game, quicksave resets so you need to select the slot again. Start a new game, quicksave does not reset so it overrides 20+ hours of progress. That taught me to archive save :?.

Divine Divinity & Kult Heretic Kingdoms

Story != fun. Look at Final Fantasy... Okay, I feel the wrath of a thousand fanboys coming my direction. :runs away:

Fallout 2 is currently No. 8 in todays most popular games!

Fallout's story isn't total crap; there lies the difference. As far as the communication, anything relating to Reno, IMO, is a complete shit. Plus, there's the Cathedral-Vats relationship in the original .

Eleven and a Half Minute Fallout Speed Run

Recording computer video isn't exactly easy :?. Computer games tend to have high detailed graphics (like small text and such) so spitting it out as a television feed loses quite a bit of detail. The video that's shown is a direct capture of the run recorded to VHS. I hope to clean things up with...

Fallout 2 is currently No. 8 in todays most popular games!

GECK = good? :? I played Fallout after Fallout 2 and I love it even more because of it. Probably because I'm a Torment fan... :P

How did you discover Fallout ?

Stupid friend (the same "Mimir" actually) recommended me to play Fallout 2. Fresh off of the amazing Planescape: Torment, I decided to give it a try. Of course, naturally I got annoyed at how stupid the main plot was (before the Enclave) and ended up getting pissed off more than anything else...

How about WWIV in Fallout universe?

IIRC, Power Armor have self contained fusion reactors that have enough fuel to run 100 years. No fission would ever be necessary provided that there's a fusion reaction nearby to "jump" another one. Fusion is truly a self-renewing process (okay, not truly as you still need fuel for it but you...

    RPGs for the stupid

I loved it, but that doesn't mean I can't make fun of it :P. It's my favorite RPG by far, but hey, is there something else I could really poke fun at? Of course, I could make it serious, but what's the fun in that? Then again, your Fallout thingy was pretty serious...

Eleven and a Half Minute Fallout Speed Run

Well, I never got complaints before but I'll go ahead and remove them.

Let's rework ALL of the damage ranges for the FO weapons.

Actually, this would make the enemy plow through you a lot faster :P.

Eleven and a Half Minute Fallout Speed Run

Nah, it doesn't really matter. I just want this run to get the attention it deserves :P. If lockpicking does indeed work on everything, I'll prod him into doing another run since it'll be the only skill necessary to complete the game. Edit: My god that's perfect. I just did a test run and...

    RPGs for the stupid

I happened to like Baldur's Gate :(, but I agree with the diagram, mostly anyways. And here's Planescape: Torment:

What did you NOT like about FO 1 & 2?

Fallout: No option to play after the end (though it makes sense). That's about all really. Fallout 2: New Reno, San Francisco, Temple of Trials (though I blame Interplay for this), main quest is boring until the end (GECK? wtf!) Both: Broken skills, broken feats, horrible music, not enough...
