Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Nope, still have 10 1/2 months to go. :P I sufferin' Fallout withdraw too, almost enough to fire F3 back up (with mods), but.. fighting.. the.. urge.. (for now). RL has to take precedence over free modding. It the code.

Megamod 2.3 technical issues and suggestions

Stalker & CS, Sins of a Solar Empire, and of course F3. I was not trying to compare skill or amount , just that I know how tangential patching can be. You think "Hey that ought to be easy to fix" and three days later, "That sucked". Then you have used up all your time for the week on one...

Megamod 2.3 technical issues and suggestions

I fixed the above link to the bug list. ;) MIB88 - Suggestions from a fellow modder (not F2) based on the list of fixes: For your patching, you should only be focusing on game killers and major quest blockers. If you can get them all solved then the others can be taken care of in stages...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.2 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

And there is the problem. I did not go to the wikia page before I installed. I read the readme. ;) Well after installing the manual version both Vic and Sulik have disappeared from my save games (all of them). Like an idiot, I assumed that there would not be such a critical difference...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.2 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Really? As per the readme: "Currently Supported versions of the "Fallout2.exe" are: US 1.02d" That means that I have to install the game (1.0) and then patch it to 1.02, does it not? There is nothing in the readme about versions (other than the line I quoted) so in it's current state, it is...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.2 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Sulik not using weapons anymore After Googling and doing a basic search I found nothing on these. Installed Fallout 2 + US patch 1.2 + F2RP Regardless of what I set the combat settings to (melee, unarmed, or ranged/melee) Sulik will not swap out his 'weapon' when I order him to "use best...

DLC Content and Modding - not allowed by Bethesda

Good news, disclaimers only Good news. There are over 6 sets of Operation Anchorage armor files being offered as mods. Four of these had disclaimers requiring the DLC only, and the other two did not even have that. By not having any of them taken down in the last week, Bethesda has...

DLC Content and Modding - not allowed by Bethesda

How could I build a DLC Texture replacement that requires the DLC to be present before any user could get and use a copy? Most people are misunderstanding that this is not about running the content, but making the DLC content available to the general public, whom might or might not have the...

DLC Content and Modding - not allowed by Bethesda

Anyone planning on modding the DLC content should be warned that Bethesda considers this illegal distribution. Their reasoning is that players without the DLC could still use this content without having to purchase the DLC. The only way that they consider it legal is if we can somehow find a...

    Editing Fallout 3 Meshes

Take a look at all their meshes. They included content that they did not finish, so you might find something that you can tweak and finish for even faster results.

    Help with alpha channels, transparancies

Armor Alpha Do not bother. Bethesda disabled the armor alphas for the texture files. They still work for all the others file types (displacement, specularity etc), but not for the armor texture itself. It took a few days of testing, but it looks like they are preventing it from being loaded...
