I had such moments during Remorse. I just restarted (I always save at the beginning of the level and use a different save slot for progress within the level)...

Use a different gun. I've never run out of 7.62mm, must be one of the most common rounds in the game. Plenty to loot from warm corpses... I think I had +20k towards the end of the 7.62mm round...

When writing scripts it's advised to avoid using brand names incl. weapon types unless it has a significant meaning to the plot. I guess it's due to copyright laws.

Perhaps you misunderstood me, I said: "Depends on how odd and crazy." I meant that unusual names can be okay as long as they're not absurd, idiotic, insane or something else in line with that. For instance Eki-Eki-Eki-Eki-PTang or Cthulhu would be absurd names, but Elden or Tristan wouldn't.

Depends on how odd and crazy. Unusual names are still better than, say, Bob for instance...

Leave and return when you're of a higher level and/or have better equipment. Or what do you mean you cannot leave? Do they attack the instance you load your game? If not, you can go into combat mode and run away. What level are you? And what weapons do you use?
