ok, I tried the "uninstal and clear registry" thing, and the problem changed. in ver 1.02d I can now see the saves and they load. everything is fine until I try to save - I get the "unable to save game" error. this happens only in locations, like Sierra Army Depot or New Reno, on the wasteland...
