I'd normally agree with you about this, but I have looked through the Frontier store and the only things I see are purely cosmetic - paintjobs and bobbleheads, so I am ok with this. And it's not being used to fluff up the expansion like with the ridiculous Fallout 4 Season Pass Workshop DLC, so...

Some good has come from it though. There are quite a few diamonds in the rough. Also, NMS is now "Mostly Negative" at 39% positive steam reviews and yet it still costs $60 and lists all those ridiculous awards and has the E3 trailers and fake screenshots lol.

I agree with this. I'm not trying to be fanboy but if you ask me which is better Elite or NMS the answer is objectively Elite Dangerous is better. I don't think that is even up for debate really. That doesn't mean Elite is the best game ever though - it has flaws and many people will find it...

Based on this statement I think you will much prefer Elite. In its current state it is much better and has much more to do and if they keep developing it like they have been it's going to get much richer and better. Cheers.

I wonder how they handled console versions of Elite though, because you have a few more commands needed than buttons on a controller. I can only recommend the PC version because that's what I have, but I can say that a controller works very well (definitely better than mouse and keyboard alone)...
