I disagree, if that were the case then the DLCs would be less connected, and the 4 characters in the DLC wouldn't be able to be in it. Aside from maybe Dean Domino but that's it. Imagine a Dead Money without Father Elijah, or Dog/God, or Christine, or God forbid Dean Domino.

Everyone can agree San Fran was unique in a bad way. I thought that there was a lot of potential though. I just wish that instead of nuking it like every bad idea Avellone has, he instead just tried to fix it. What would be better things that could've been added to the location?

I'm fine with psykers. I think the way they were handled in Fallout 1, New Vegas, and yes, even 4, were good examples. However Fallout 2 and Tactics did it really poorly and too "in your face". It needs to be subtle, and the powers can't be too powerful. Same sorta thing with ghosts and aliens.
