I transferred my my save files via email from my Windows Vista laptop to my old Windows XP desktop and moved the files to the appropriate folder in the Fallout 2 directory, but when I try to load the save files ingame, I get an error message. Unfortunately, I can't read the error message...

The interface buttons on Fallout 2 stopped working. That includes the hotkeys. I can still interact with items and characters in the game world, but I can't change weapons, manually enter combat, open the inventory, access the skilldex, open the game menu, etc. If it matters any, I'm running...
