Fallout 4 versus Fallout 3: FIGHTO!!!

This shouldn't be a hot take, this is how Bethesda should have treated the pre-war. Leave most of it vague, only getting snippets and lore notes here and there.

Fallout 4 versus Fallout 3: FIGHTO!!!

    Play a good game instead.

    Will Fallout 3 be remembered?

When you would go get Esbern out of prison, there was a chance he would never come out of his cell, hardlocking your game if you didn't had a save before doing this quest. A friend of mine actually got this and he had to restart the playthrough. It is early in the main quest, but how did get...

    Will Fallout 3 be remembered?

That's true. People ragged on New Vegas for the bad launch, specially Bethesda fans, but they forgot (or they didn't but thought it was actually fine) how much a buggy piece of shit games like Oblivion and Fallout 3 were at release (and they are still buggy pieces of shit in the latest patch)...

    Will Fallout 3 be remembered?

I find comments quite often of people saying they played the 3D Fallouts for the first time very recently and saying they generally liked Fallout 3 after that first playthrough, but then tried New Vegas and that game made Fallout 3 look like shit. The piss poor launch state of New Vegas...

    Will Fallout 3 be remembered?

Yeah, pretty much. New Vegas is far more remembered and far more loved than Fallout 3. Anytime now someone makes a video about how good Fallout 3 apparently is, the comment section is a shitshow of Bethesda fans and haters arguing. Meanwhile in New Vegas videos you just see one guy that says...

Is Fallout 3 objectively the worst game in the franchise?

Soul doesn't matter when the end result is a pile of slop. And no, Fallout 3 doesn't have a soul either, game made very cynically with clearly with no passion and care.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

It was pretty good. One of the things i always found odd about the main campaign was the lack of Kyle Reese, so i guess they made that up with the expansion. Shame Michael Biehn didn't voice the character, but whoever did actually did a pretty good job. That was pretty cool to see. In general...

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Rewatched Terminator 1, it's kind of astounding how well the Terminator Resistance game gets the future war shown in that movie. And the movie shows like five minutes of it at most, but yet the devs with a shoestring budget managed to capture the feeling of it quite well. They even managed to...

    I'm tired man.

I did say most things are kind out of the way, not that all of them. You can still run into a few of them, but the thing is that the game doesn't make a big deal out of them and they aren't required for basic main quest progression as far as i can remember.

    I'm tired man.

Fallout 2 has always been the go to game Bethesda fans use to justify a lot of the crap in the Bethesda games. Oh, you don't like a village of literal children, people playing pretend democracy, or people cosplaying as super heroes or vampires? Well, Fallout 2 had a scorpion playing chess...

    I'm tired man.

Bethesda fans have been always "lore experts" when it came to defending the new retcons.

New Vegas/Van Buren continuity - Which do you prefer? How would we merge them?

Because Bethesda's garbage version of Gamebryo hardly allowed for any complex towns and locations. It's why it's so funny when some Bethesda fans attempt to argue that New Vegas is only good because of Fallout 3, when in reality New Vegas is held back greatly by being in the same engine as...

    I'm tired man.

Obvious power of hindsight (even though you can argue that the fate of the franchise after the Bethesda acquisition was obvious), but sometimes dead is better.

Is Fallout 3 objectively the worst game in the franchise?

Both are shit. Any opinion attempting to argue the contrary is objectively, factually wrong.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Finished my Extreme playthrough. I thought it would be harder, but i guess the mechanic i mentioned above helps the difficulty feel a bit easier. You'll still get shredded very quickly if you are out in the open for like two seconds, specially against Terminators (they are hyper accurate and...

    I'm tired man.

Bethesda wouldn't have picked Fallout if it didn't had at least a little bit of popularity and success.

    I'm tired man.

To be fair, there's been a clear shift when it comes to evaluating their games. Sure, some normies will still say that Skyrim is a "masterpiece", but between Fallout 4, Fallout 76 and Starfield, Bethesda is not exactly the most well liked company right now. It's not exactly uncommon for people...

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Started an Extreme playthrough in Terminator Resistance. Learned quickly that the game has a mechanic to avoid one shots, one shots from enemy weapons anyway. Yes, everything deals insane amounts of damage, even the weakest enemies.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Finished the Infiltrator mode. I actually failed the first time because i instantly ran into a bunch of dudes with violet plasma rifles and got wrecked. Beat it on the second run and managed to do everything in it. I did not find all the secrets, so i might do a third run because the last...
