How Fallout 3 made myself pregnant. [Secret love story gamez!!] Teh gamez fo the realzz!!

Fallout 3 was my introduction as well. I didnt really know what Fallout was suppose to be so I chocked it up to Elder Scrolls but with a retro-futuristic setting. I quickly found this forum and learned all about the old games. While I didn’t like that gameplay at the time I highly respected the...

Is the Sole Survivor active duty or reserves?

Seriously where is the dude stationed? Guys who are active duty in the military don’t exactly have the ability to live wherever they want. “Hey we really need to get this invasion of China moving but we’re still waiting for replies from our troops telling them to move back to the base”. I don’t...

Gaping plot holes in New Vegas

Think that’s because the area is actually a lot larger than what is depicted. They were kinda restricted by the power of consoles at the time when it comes to the total size of the map.

What did you think was bad about Fallout 4

Funnily enough I actually enjoyed settlement building. I’s really just because I built a “Mega-Block” skyscraper from Judge Dredd, where every floor served a different purpose and it reached the maximum height allowed. Had a huge “oh no” moment when I realized karma and skill points were gone.

    Fallout Officially is Bethesda/Dead

Thank you Bethesda, for introducing me to Fallout and getting me so fatigued with your BS that I’m playing through the classics and actually really enjoying them. That being said, screw you for your corporate ego BS and for ruining a universe I immediately fell in love with.

    Gun Control

As someone who owns 4 firearms despite living on the west coast I can admit that I have no freaking idea where I stand on firearms. I was against personal ownership after Sandy Hook, but bought a gun after my step-father bought a Glock and my parents took me out to “find a fun”. I saw it as a...

So how come people in fallout new vegas do not clean actually?

Plus they’re relevant to western culture. Makes sense that people would resort to early techniques of home building that were used by early generation of people that lived in the area. Being raised in California, I had many field trip to Spanish missions and always loved the simplicity of their...

The real reasons people hate Bethesda

It is. But Bethesda and Zenimax are large enough to be ruled by people who have no interest in video games. The guys actually doing the work probably care but what power doe they have? They work for two very large companies. I used to live by Obsidian. They’re in a single office space in Irvine...

The real reasons people hate Bethesda

I hate them because it’s obvious all their “creative” decisions are made around a long table in some corporate office with charts and diagrams and lots and lots of money signs. They don’t respect what another company labored to create. The only thing I have to thank them for is introducing me to...

    Assault Rifle designs.

But what’s cool about a water-cooled machine gun!? Maybe that was cool in 1917, not so much in a retro-future. I always thought the R91 looked nice. Referenced a popular Cold War rifle, the FN-FAL.

So how did Fallout New Vegas become so popular?

New Vegas recently replaced Half-Life as my long-time favorite game (Fallout taking its place as my all-time favorite series). Maybe it’s because I’m 27 but triple-A fatigue has led me to embrace the classic Fallouts and I’m currently going though #1. I keep breaking NV with mods so it’s nice to...

How did you discover Fallout ?

I was in high school when information for Fallout 3 slowly started leaking into magazines. I didn’t think anything of the behemoth they always showed, chocked it up to another monster game like Resident Evil. Wasn’t until I read the name of the series that I went “wait wha?”

Introduce yourself! AKA the "Say hello" thread

Hello from the NCR! I’m a loooooong time lurker from 2008. I shamefully had no idea Fallout existed prior to 3, but fell in love with the lore and everything about it as soon as it become known to me. Still playing (and now fully modded) New Vegas to this day! I plan to start F2 soon, maybe try...
