We don't even know what makes it a game yet.

    Why E3 should just die

Very interested in Age of Empires IV. AoE II was my first videogame. I think 11-11-22 is a reference to Skyrim's launch date, that was 11-11-11

    Why E3 should just die

I did not play TLOU2 mainly because I didn't like TLOU, but also because of the marketing that made the game seem very depressing, and not in a strange melancholic but ultimately fun fallout way or a survival horror scary way, just depressing and unfun and with very simple mechanics. I can stand...

Can you really call yourself a Fallout fan if you love Fallout 4, honestly?

A national SOCIALIST could A gay one, or a woman... well, love is not dictated by politics so maybe even a normal socialist could

Can you really call yourself a Fallout fan if you love Fallout 4, honestly?

I like Fallout 4 as an action game, even if it isn't a good RPG. It's flawed, but it's fun. I can't say I love it. The Institute might be stupid (it is) but it's miles better than every other faction in 3 and 4, because at least it has some originality to it, instead of coming straight from 1...

    The Outer Worlds 2

The first one fell a bit flat for me, but the story was not bad and it showed potential. This one could be better. I hope

    Why E3 should just die

I agree. Maybe they are trying to reach the status of full fledged "artists" that filmmakers reached in the first half of the last century. They take themselves too seriously because they desperately want to be respected more. Or it's only for marketing reasons

So it will probably be a shallow power fantasy Bethesda game. I liked this part though: "So we have one story that we're telling, and then we have a lot of other ones, like we love to do. And our hope is that each player feels like they could say, here's who I want to be in this universe -...

    Starfield

Bethesda won't go under in the next 10-15 years at least, even if they get everything wrong going forward. ES6 will definitely sell well in 3-4 years from now and if it will be bad it will perform like Cyberpunk in sales. No more Fallout for a lot of time if the next Fallout won't work. I always...

    Starfield

It's a mixed bag for me. I think the 3D was a good(ish) change. The shooting has got better from 3 to NV to 4 and I like that the SPAV in 4 doesn't stop time completely. Weapon customization in 4 was actually a neat idea but very badly implemented. The dialogue wheel is a horrible change in 4...

    Starfield

I think the jump to 3D was not a bad idea per se. In NV the 3D just works and in FO3 it's not the problem. The isometric games had a different atmosphere to them that you can't really do with 3D because you can't give the idea of big distances in a smaller 3D world, but the new games have more...

    Starfield

Oblivion was my first Bethesda game and FO3 was my first Fallout. I used to like both and I somewhat still like both, especially Oblivion. I never liked the main story of FO3 and I never had much fun with it past Little Lamplight. As a RPG I think FO3 has always been a complete failure, but as a...

    Starfield

Bethesda is very much afraid most of the time. IMO most of the problems that plagued FO3 that weren't due to (very) bad writing were due to a fear that the game wouldn't be seen as a true Fallout, so they put in a lot of stuff from the previous games and steered clear of anything really new.

    Starfield

I liked the weapon customization system in FO4, but I hated the lack of variety in base models and some of the designs were obviously rushed: the combat rifle and the combat shotgun are basically the same model, and while the model is passable for a shotgun it's absolutely terrible for a rifle...

    Starfield

I remember that story, but I don't think that was foul play on Bethesda's part. Bethesda had the IP and they had to defend their copyright or they would lose it. The worst thing Bethesda did, I think, and it was actually Zenimax and not Bethesda, was scamming Obsidian with the FNV metacritic deal.

    Starfield

I'm surprised they are trying their luck with a new IP instead of nechromancing and/or rebooting an old IP. Usually Bethesda plays much more safe. Good news for now. I hope the game will be good and I think it will probably be at least somewhat good if it won't try to be a mere transposition of...
