Who's Rosh? You mean Hideki Hitler?

    Fallout 3 .. 3d environment?

Man, stop using personal attacks to hide fact that you're just entrenched in your little "I must not be at all main stream" world. I mean waring a funny hat and a bunny suit is all very good (a personal hobby of mine), but convincing yourself that 3D is some evil, inferior, short-cut is just...

    Fallout 3 .. 3d environment?

You realy only need afew more polygons to get a rounded edge, at leat when theres a shader or two running. True, you CAN do alot with artistic style in 2D, but you also can do alot in 3D aswell. I never real saw much being done with 2D art styles anyways, at least nothing that could only be...

    Fallout 3 .. 3d environment?

There are ways around this. You can have disapearing roofs in 3D, just like you did in Isometric. Difference is, you can manuver your camera to see the doors you want. You make the assumtion that all 3D games are limeted by annoying facts like that. You can get siluettes, outlines, fading walls...

    Fallout 3 .. 3d environment?

Have you even played a 3D game made in the last 2 years? I don't see why you wouldn't know where you are in a 3D game. I find Isometric actually bad for this, as you often loose sight of your character, and doors and such are hard to find. The Idea is a rotatable camera, and the ability to snap...

    Fallout 3 .. 3d environment?

Creeper was a little whiny git, and fargoth was hyper over-freindly wood elf. The had personality. It wasn't deep, but it was enough to say that they had personality. Better example: the crazy lady in Balmora with the pillows.

    Fallout 3 .. 3d environment?

It dose take longer than that to find them. They wrote a ton of generic topics. If you could isolate the topics where the NPCs were being individual and not spewing the generic descriptions, they be easier to find. Some ones that I might not call "deep", but do have a personality, I would say...

Things that should be brought over from TES

Well there are some areas that are good, universal ideas, like being able to screw with your character's face, and such, which if the character apearance system in OB works well, I see no reason why it wouldn't work for fallout. However, most systems couldn't and shouldn't be poped over from one...

    Fallout 3 .. 3d environment?

The real time fear is pointless. Just because bethsoft has done real time in the past dosn't mean they can't do turn based. They are fans of FO, just like you and me.

    Fallout 3 .. 3d environment?

Alot of people did like morrowind visualy. It had a very cool alien fantasy landscape, that actually made sence at the same time. Also the weather effects were just wonderful, and tooling around the costal areas was just great, especialy if you have a computer where you can turn the view...

Things that should be brought over from TES

How do you know I'm an american? I could be a German, australian, Brit, or Canadian who just happens to be screaming in Las Vegas. The Power armor thing could be done with scripting. Like imply an agility penalty if you don't have the whole suit (aside from the helmet, which would be...

Things that should be brought over from TES

Well the multiple locations thing is somthing beth dose well, and I think it fits with the targeting specific bodparts system that fallout has. And I'll spell "helmet" however I wan't to!

    Fallout 3 .. 3d environment?

Visualy the world was very immersive. The problem was the NPCs and the quests. See the predecessors to morrowind (daggerfall and arena) both had these huge worlds that were mostely randomly generated. Morrowind was much smaller, and everything was done by hand. There was not a single randomly...

Things that should be brought over from TES

OK, Hear are afew things that I would like bethsoft to take from TES and put into fallout: Multiple armor locations- With Fallout's specific target areas, this to me seems like a no-brainer, It wouldn't have to be like Morrowind where you had to get all the diferent peices, but seperate...

    What i wouldnt mind seeing

I realy like the idea of weather effects. Bethsoft is very good at this, just take a look at morrowind (or the new oblivion trailer). Now imagine that rain with a greanish tint, and glow-maping. Can you say awsomeness?
