    Second streak of Bioshock reviews

I don't blame one game, I blame a trend of ever bigger, more expensive 'block buster' style games. At this point they happen to be FPS or FPS style games. Peter Molyneux has been quoted as saying you need 100 people working on a AAA game to make it competitive. Peter isn't the only one...

    Second streak of Bioshock reviews

There's no logic in my comments, just emotion. What disappoints me most, is this game could be so much more than what it is. Turn based or not, in the right hands it could be a classic RPG (of course my preference is for turn based iso). I'm also angry that something of this quality, is...

    Second streak of Bioshock reviews

No I am not joking. I am sick of FPS games taking all of the dev dollars while turnbased RPGs die on the vine. Did you see how many artists worked on that game and for how long? They could have made 5 quality RPGs with those resources. I am probably exaggerating but whatever... Thats...

    Second streak of Bioshock reviews

I just went to the site and it said it was coming out in 4 hours. Then I noticed the trailer and decided to take a look. While I liked the art and music, I found myself hating the game play. Why? Because its the same as every other FPS I have ever seen! Don't people ever get tired of FPS? If...

Can they put 'Remember Fallout?' on it?

You can protect your family again FALLOUT

I like the name of the shelter building company: the Wonder Corporation. The kids sliding down the side of the shelter is a nice touch as well. 'Hey kids! Fallout shelters are fun!'

    Bioshock has gone gold

So is it Fallout standard? Should I break my piggy bank and pre-order? :) In case anyone wants the system specs they are here: http://forums.2kgames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1579

    Bioshock has gone gold

No I don't like FPS, as they give me a splitting headache. I think its something to do with the narrow field of view and the rapid camera movements. Also I prefer to play using my character's skills, rather than my own skills. However I do like it when the artists understand their subject and...

    CAD can't wait for Fallout

Its almost like passing a car crash. You don't want to look, but you end up doing it anyway.

    Omega Syndrome hits 3.29

I think critical hits make sense in terms of hand to hand combat, because sometimes you'll give your enemy a really hard knock and at other times it will be a normal hit, or a glancing blow. However if you're using guns, a hit going to be a hit, unless you graze them (is that a critical miss?)...

    Omega Syndrome hits 3.29

Believe or not I haven't played PS:T yet. The idea came from a course I did on computer interfaces when I was at University. The lecturer said the system was the most efficient way to create a context sensitive interface, because all of the options are an equal distance from your mouse pointer...

    Omega Syndrome hits 3.29

Thanks for taking the time Per. At the moment I'm considering a big change to the interface. The idea is it will only appear when you point at, or click on something and it will disappear when you click on or off it. It will be in the shape of a wheel, with the buttons arranged around...

    Omega Syndrome hits 3.29

How so? Which parts would you change to make it better? I'm always on the look out for good suggestions.

Yup. Its the name Homer took from his hair dryer. At the time I was using it to poke fun at Max Payne.

Game Informer Fallout 3 article scans

Perhaps NMA needs a special education zone? It could include topics such as the history of video games (dates, perspectives, realtime/turn based), the history of Fallout with links, how to conduct logical arguments by offering proof rather than opinions, etc. It could save a lot of pain...

You're right there. Word of mouth is everything these days. Does anyone know how to contact Rosh? I got an email last week from someone who wants to talk to him about the business end of RPGs.
