    Torment Kickstarter goes live

Planescape: Torment is a pretty different game than the Fallouts to be honest. Torment is a lot more about a focused story, with lots of writing to support it whereas Fallout is more geared towards creating your own story. But I absolutely think anyone should try out Torment. The main thing...

    Torment Kickstarter goes live

I was pretty skeptical at first about this, and would've still preferred if they'd just skipped the whole Torment connection and just said "hey, here's a game that's kinda similar to Torment". Why does it matter? I don't know, it just feels unncecessary (aside from a PR standpoint of course)...

Obsidian CEO Talks Working on Fallout Again

I would gladly welcome a New Vegas 2. Now, I think what I would welcome the most would be OEI doing a brand new game with some similar design goals in regards as to the open quests and so forth as I would rather see Fallout as a license buried as well. But clearly this is not going to happen...

    Fallout: Lanius successfully raises $10K

Congrats on this. I can hardly believe I'm saying this but I'm actually looking forward to seeing it. Normally am very cautious about films being even remotely connected to video-games. But this looks like it could be good!

Wasteland 2 Update: new music sample and dialog info

Must say that I'm not a particularly big fan of this track. Or rather, I would be if the slide guitar wasn't so up-front in the mix. Too much noise from the playing also, some of the licks sound... not good. The quiter bits towards the ending are really nice though.

Wasteland 2 Scorpitron 2.0 concept art

That looks, to put it bluntly, fucking awesome.

InXile hires Mark Morgan for Wasteland

The real question is.... is Aphex Twin still in good artistic shape? AWWWWW SHIT! (sorry) :P

Bethesda hiring for unannounced game on next-gen consoles

I hope that it'll be something new as well. I thought I didn't care much anymore but just the thought of living through the pre-Fallout 3 hype and then the Fallout 3 reviews and all that comes with it again... Ugh.

The Age of Decadence demo to be released in 2 weeks

A fairly long while I think. Teron (the section that the demo takes place in) is about 25% of the game and it's been a pain in the ass to test because of the many paths and options at your disposal. Testing the full game will be a huge undertaking (though I also really look forward to it if I...

The Rhythm of the Quest in Fallout 3 and New Vegas

To be frank, I think this a big problem in New Vegas as well. I really appreciate that they went to great lengths to model the "real world" so to speak but the scale of it all just feels entirely wrong. Granted, I've never actually been to the US but at no point do I feel like I'm traveling a...

Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition trailer released

Pretty disappointing trailer as it's just made up of footage of all the other trailers. Ah well, at least now Josh's singing career can take off for realz!

    Rank the DLC's

    1. Honest Hearts Could've used some more content and some more situations where you could use your skills in meaningful ways. Other than that, it was to me extremely enjoyable to get away from the more "high-fantasy" ideas and play Fallout where the technology isn't a huge part of things...

Bethesda gets FOOL rights, Interplay gets $2 million

It's sad for the developers on board indeed. On the other hand, I'm also honestly glad that Fallout will now only be raped in one direction and not also in the form of a Herve Fallout MMO. I'm bitter enough to keep hoping for the worst for Herve after the lovely treatment Fallout has...

Fallout: New Vegas wins 'Best RPG' at Golden Joystick

I'd personally hold New Vegas higher than Witcher 2 in gameplay as well. I liked the Witcher 2 but there are a lot of things that are "wrong" with that game as well. Not that the shooting bits are particularly good in Beth's gamebryo engine but I found the hack'n'slashing bits in Witcher 2 to be...

    FO3 Game Overhaul mod

Another overhaul mod (looks interesting) Found this while checking out the bethsoft forums: http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1233435-relz-beta-cirosans-classic-overhaul/ Anyone tried it? It looks pretty good so far!

Gun Runners' Arsenal and Courier's Stash released on Steam

It'd be cool if a mod comes out that distributes some of the non-unique, lower tier weapons among enemies in the wastes. I like that the guns are really expensive. I hate the hoarding mentality and think it's a pain in the ass in games such as these so I almost never reach any godly sums of...

    Gun Runners' Arsenal Details

From Josh's formspring on whether Gun Runner's start selling Energy Weapons: Not sure what the "for the most part" means, if anything. I'm torn about this DLC. On one hand, it's just a cheap price to plunk down for. And I find it hard to argue principles personally at that price point to...

    Lonesome Road Talk (obviously spoilers)

Finished it, I liked it overall. -I think the worst bits of the DLC were the more "action FPS" segments. Some of the battles with the tunnelers were horrendous I think. If you have bad luck, you can effectively get stunlocked. It's at times like that (especially during the elevator ride)...

Fallout: New Vegas Lonesome Road released on Steam/PSN NA

This your first DLC in NV Brother None? Ulysses *is* very rambling and sorta "floating" but I think it almost fits with the story arc in the DLCs. It's very drama-speak and I think it fits in well for the ending chapter, as weird as that may sound. It feels more like it's about the Courier's...

The New Vegas soundtrack (not the radio songs)

I'm currently listening through the original music for New Vegas, the tracks composed by Inon Zur. And I gotta say that he did a really good job overall with this, I normally don't enjoy his work at all. Especially if you listen to the dungeon music, it really hits home with the ambient feel and...
