    Funniest moment in FO3? SPOILERS

AI glitches like this one happened all the time in Oblivion, this is the first time I saw it in F3: I walked into the Billy's house (Megaton) and, failing to see Billy himself sitting next to the entrance, took two bottles of nuka-cola from the table. I assume Billy really likes his cola...

    Bethesda and PnP mechanics

Why do people say that there is no rolls in shooters, so that shots immediately hit if the crosshair is over the target? That doesn't happen since... Wolf3d? There is always a deviation due to wind, unsteady hands, recoil or whatever, and in some examples (stalker and the early handguns) bullets...

Why don't you host it at, say, Gamefaqs?

    BioShock reviews, penultimate roundup?

I hate this system. At the beginning, there is few supplies. On a couple occassions I tried to hurt the last enemy of a group to near-dead status and letting him kill me just to save health packs. I didn't notice that they respawn (more than usual) as requiem_for_a_starfury implies. Some may...

NMA Fallout 3 preview and Q&A

Brother None, SuAside, thanks for the review. It was everything I learned to expect from you. :) And the demo is everything I learned to expect from them... :? I must ask... Does "FINO" mean "Fallout in name only"?

Armageddon Empires released - Post-Apocalyptic TBS

There is a "Tutorials" button on the main page, right between "Factions" and "After Action Reports". :)

    Fallout 3 at E3 - GWN

If I recall correctly, the battle with the behemoth took place after the player joined forces with Brotherhood paladins. I assumed the fatman was stolen off them, as was implied in one review.

    InsideGamer previews Fallout 3

How do you figure? It is funny, I'll grant that. :)

Game Informer Fallout 3 article scans

As far as I can tell, Fallout is not the only 1997 game that inspires Fallout 3. Several design elements that we learned about remind me of some classics. For example: It has been mentioned that close combat nuclear weapon is at best a silly concept. Thankfully, Shadow Warrior is far from a...

    S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: big update planned

Well, they should really tweak something, then. When I finished the game, my ranking was several times higher than the second ranked stalker, without much trying. If the whole purpose of the game becomes rank-climbing, I don't see much reason to replay it.

    More S.T.A.L.K.E.R. on the way

Probably because games set in this world as we know it cannot be called such. Only games in fantasy/medieval or futuristic/postapocalyptic setting can be RPGs. And sometimes that's the only condition they should meet to qualify.

February 2007, busiest month since ever

Yes, I know it's obvious it should read February 2006 in the second instance, but I am compelled to nitpick such typos.

We've seen dialogs already. Check the interview. I hope those floating letters get better contrast to background.

    News From Australian Game Developers

Davaris, how will you prevent this feature killing the fun factor of the game? What if I get killed near the end of the game a few times? Won't I get frustrated? Would an inclusion of a checkpoint aka autosave improve or deteriorate the whole concept? Heh, every game has "an optional hardcore...

    News From Australian Game Developers

Can you name some examples? I know that's pretty much the standard for roguelikes, and that Diablo 2 had such option. What else is out there? Anyway, dying is an unpleasant prospect in many games, more so if the death is irrevocable. The only way I wouldn't be pissed off and could accept my...

Todd on FO3:'Uh... it's currently... full steam ahead.'

One possible answer is that they really do not. I cannot really comprehend how that can be possible, since they are already in "messing with different stuff" phase. Praise Todd Howard. By the way, I'm not wondering where that is, I know.

    Life After Death

Suaside, you imply that everything you do in life is caused by the fear of death? I... I really can't understand your line of reasoning. Why would afterlife be unlikely anyway? Eighty-five percent of people believe in some kind of it, would you try to explain where they err? And what's the...

Depresivno. The college is crushing down on me. And all this stuff about Bethesda and FO3 ain't making my life any better. Nvm, though. You didn't insult my mother, religion or cat, if that's what you have been afraid of... :P You managed to convey your meaning. ;) And my german is...

Introduce yourself! AKA the "Say hello" thread

Hello, everyone. I am Vedran, from Croatia, a student of computing, not a mutant (really). I have been a fan of these games ever since I played FO2. I haven't seen or played FO1 until a couple of years after that, and I got somewhat disappointed. :( (I made the same mistake with the Thief...
