    New vegas bugs

Turns out, the trade window bug was simply my low reputation!  However, Mick & Ralph would not shun me or make any indication I was not allowed to do business until I improved relations; the "see goods" option was met with "take a look at what I got!" , and nothing would happen.

    New vegas bugs

There's also a nasty bug with Mick's gunshop in Freeside. I'm not able to get the trade window to pull up on either merchant. Tried re-booting saves and game, but haven't tried clearing 360 cache.

Sale: Big Box Fallout & Fallout 2

I've got the box which is near perfect, and the manual and contents in mint condition. And I even have the original strategy guide for Fallout that is a bit worn. These things I just could not give up, not for less than $200 maybe. Even then, I doubt I could part with it! The game box along...

Sale: Big Box Fallout & Fallout 2

Simply to satiate my own curiosity, but how much would one be willing to pay for a near mint copy of Fallout PC US/Big box?

    Criterion Collection

It's hard to get excited about a technology that is little more than a turn table record player in principal. When they come out with solid state crystal storage media, then I'll be excited. I have a Blu-ray player that also plays DVDs, and an LCD HDtv that displays only 720p in its native...

    Criterion Collection

It is a bit unusual to see The Rock and Armageddon as a Criterion collection. I was under the impression that any Criterion film went through a vetting process to select a film that had cinematic significance to the art.

    Criterion Collection

I haven't seen many of the Criterion versions of the films I like. The only one I have is RoboCop. Judging the quality of that, I'd love to get more. There's a small problem though, the Criterion version of RoboCop advertises commentary by Paul M. Sammon, the film buff historian, and his...

Bethesda’s Big Takeaways For Fallout 4

Better writing? Is that too much to ask for, expect?

    Best game music!

The score for Icewind Dale is my favorite of the scores from RPGs of yesteryear. Jeremey Soule's work has always been good, but I think his best was for Icewind Dale. Most recently I thought the soundtrack for Dead Space was excellent! The music and the game are really a single experience...

    Favourite Game Endings **SPOILERS**

I can safely say I've seen every ending in Silent Hill and this is the best. Not because it makes the most sense, because it just fits for such a moody game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufuWi0EhhyM This is technically the bad, very bad ending of the first Silent Hill. Still my...

How did you discover Fallout ?

I have a friend who has purposefully avoided playing the other Fallout games so as not to be disappointed with the 3rd. Still haven't made up my mind if that was a smart move or just a really depressing commentary on the standard of current games.

Shouldn't radiation threats be high? (at least in FO3)

Just an addition to this discussion, there was a random encounter within F1 where your character hits a bit of wasteland that is irradiated. It seems like this random encounter had a higher chance of happening on the part of the map nearest The Glow. The radiation in Fallout 1&2 is more...

    50's atmosphere - Why?

No, this one. Great synopsis of the book can be found here: http://www.comicbookbin.com/hardboiledcomic1993.html...

    50's atmosphere - Why?

The trucks and vehicles in Hard Boiled all have the same bulky tech, with vintage styling that Fallout has. A very great look and design choice. Makes me wish Geoff would do a comic version of the story of Fallout. (Just Fallout as envisioned by the original team.) Maybe we should pool our money...

    50's atmosphere - Why?

If you read Leonard Boyarski's developer interview, he does mention the Hard Boiled comic as influence. Actually you could look at the comic as a glimpse of what the Fallout world must have been like before the bombs dropped, it is that close. Amusingly, the pistol the main character in Hard...

    FALLOUT the movie

When and if they ever make the Fallout movie, they should really use some of the music from the first game, even if it's only for the trailers. I'm thinking specifically of the music used for the "Children of the Cathedral" area in Fallout 1 for the trailer. The trailer would have a bit of...

    Gametrailers.com videos

The vids on GameTrailers were the final straw the broke the camel's back. I canceled my pre-order for the Survival edition on Amazon. The NPC animations, voicework, level designs left me unimpressed. If the history museum is any indication of what the overall design and enemy encounters will...

Fallout 3 launch party Oct 18th

I hope that when the dust settles and the publicity hype is over, Fallout will still be seen and enjoyed by perhaps even more people as a classic RPG Pen & Paper experience rather than the glossy fluff it is appearing to be right now.

    FALLOUT the movie

Dark comedy/horror The movie needs to acknowledge the satirical humor of the game world.
