Just a heads up, this FADE that gamasutra quoted is a cover site for vgchartz.org, which pulls their numbers out of their ass most of the time. so take it with a grain of salt.

Todd Howard already said their using a retooled version of it for their next games. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-08-16-todd-howard-working-on-two-new-games wonder if this news changes anything for those plans?

eh i played through F3 at launch without mods on pc and it was pretty stable for me, with maybe an occassional CTD or random whip lashing ragdoll, but nothing like new vegas, where even walking around and looking at an npc or talking to one sends my framerate from 80 to 20... Walking around...

ah well there goes my theory lol, I'm kind of foggy on F3 lore atm, I remember mutants in the vault talking about green goo to make more, but I dont remember if they ever expanded on it. and unfortunately aside from Fawkes and Uncle Leo, no other mutants are friendly.

Is this a way reconcile the stupid Fallout 3 mutants with the original brutish yet can hold a conversation Fallout 1/2 mutants, in the universe lore?

eh I'm almost 29 (don't know if thats old or young, in old school rpg gamer terms) and I liked Fallout 3, and bought Fallout 1, and 2 when they were first released. Different Strokes, Different Folks I guess. DLC is a bit annoying nowadays though, altho its somewhat like the "mission packs"...
