Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.1.2b (Unofficial Expansion)

It appears I will have to leave Kurisu caged. Arrived at the Slaver camp, killed the slavers, saved the slaves from the cage on the left side on the map and then, finally, went for Kurisu. She reunited with Sulik, I said lock and load and that's that. Whenever I initiate dialogue with her or...

Fallout 2 coast map has no exit grid

Have you tried changing the resolution? Also, is it possible to enter the cave?

FNV: Disabling ash and goo piles?

Most excellent, works like a charm. Too bad that, unlike the F3 mod I mentioned, it disables the satisfying pre-disintegration eye candy along with the unconvincing disintegrations themselves. You can't have it all though, can you. Thank you, Mjolnir.

FNV: Disabling ash and goo piles?

Is there a mod or a console command which deprives FNV energy weapons of the ability to turn enemies into ash/goo piles while keeping their ability to dismember? Essentially this, but for Fallout: New Vegas.

Jinxed trait! Play a character with it if you haven't yet.

I once finished Fallout 2 with a character like that. Hard/hard. Intelligence of 3, luck of 1. Jinxed, one hander, restricted him to weapons using pistol animations. No followers, save for the pariah dog which he found and kept. To this day I know not why I was so cruel to myself.

Fallout Archaeology: Robert Nesler's concept art (Van Buren)

I like how the Vault jumpsuit on the girl is a reasonable compromise between the spandex tight suits of the older Fallouts and the baggy versions from the newer ones.

Plot-holes and logical inconsistencies of FO3?

A conversation between two super mutants in Vault 87 reveals that they are running out of FEV. Perhaps the lesson here is meant to be that there is no need to seal/destroy the source, seeing how it will soon dry out on its own. Of course, being almost out of FEV may very well mean there is...

    F2: Brass knuckles or haymaker?

The Power Fist (not to mention its upgraded version, the Mega Power Fist) is more damage efficient. On the other hand, shredding your enemies apart with nothing but your bare hands is more satisfying. Decisions, decisions...

Fallout 1 - There has to be a better way to do this...

Still, being a one man arsenal is fully possible in Fallout. Not my way of playing the game, may not be the most efficient strategy, inventory and skill point management considered, but knowing someone who had a lot of sheer fun with it taught me that there aren't really "wrong" ways of playing...

Fallout 1 - There has to be a better way to do this...

In case you aren't aware of this, followers in the first Fallout have infinite inventory space and carry weight. "Sell" them as many items as you please via the barter screen and take them back by "stealing" (no chance of getting caught, plus they don't mind). Jake/Jacob (Old Town in the Hub)...

    Fallout 2 Dismissing Companions

Max number of followers = Charisma / 2, rounded down. Max number of followers with the Magnetic Personality perk = (Charisma / 2, rounded down) + 1, capped at 5.

Could the Chosen One appear in future DLC?

The NCR had already assimilated most of the locations known from Fallout 1 before the Chosen One as much as learned about the existence of the republic:

What does sex appeal do exactly?

It's a charisma bonus/penalty, which affects directly CH checks (also such as if NPC find you sexy) and indirectly barter. No one propably wanted to know the exact modifiers, since it's mostly for fun and roleplay, but it's a point or two, as already stated. Now that I think about it... I...

What were the yields of the nukes used?

Maybe so, maybe not. F1&2 didn't mention size of nukes used, so it's open for interpretation, fanfiction or whatever you want. Not really. There's plenty of talk about how the bombs fell, but not much about where exactly did they fell. The West-Tech labs being a military object are propably...

Introduce yourself! AKA the "Say hello" thread

A "Hello, I'm new here" thread? Hell, why not. I've been playing Fallout for quite some years now, it's propably my favourite piece of both game and science fiction art, and one day I decided that it wouldn't hurt to become part of the on-line community. Sad thing is, after beating...
