Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!

Living in Calgary, I've come to expect screwy weather. Every winter, it's always warm for week-long periods, only to get cold and snow again, and then melt again. It was always snowy on Christmas eve, however. No matter what the weather was like in the weeks leading up to Christmas eve, it would always be cold and slowly on that day and the day following.
But not this year. For those of you in different parts of North America and Europe who are suffering through cold weather right now but are still thankful that you don’t live in Canada, where it must surely be worse, I'm here to put your mind at ease.
These pictures were taken 15 minutes ago with my camera. Enjoy.
Today in Calgary it's a mild +10 degrees Celsius. Most of the snow has melted from last week, and it's sunny outside. It's more than warm enough to play a game of football outdoors.
Here's my front lawn viewed from inside my living room. My grass is usually that dead because the 4 30-foot evergreen trees on my front lawn always block out light.
This is the field between my house and a main roadway. There are a LOT of green spaces in Calgary. The snow on the road is almost all melted now.
Here is a view of my house from the street. Notice the lack of snow everywhere but where it has been compacted to ice on the road.
Anyway, if you are suffering through cold weather but still thankful you don't live in Canada, I hope this brought you some comfort. I know it brought me some.
Merry Christmas.
