I'm currently playing Fallout 2 with the RP in its latest version (2.3.3) and looked for a way to speed up the transition time beween the "talk", "barter" and "combat" panels when talking to an NPC. Is it even possible and if yes how? Thank you in advance.
There is a patch made by russian TeamX member Tehnokrat. You can find it here
But its in russian and you need to use a debug sfall version to make it fully compatible with RP.
1. Download the patch
2. Unpack into RP folder
3. Run it. It will ask you in russian if you want to make a backup of fallout2.exe. Click yes. Then patch will do its job.
4. Now you need to download debug sfall lib from here. Replace ddraw.dll in RP folder with debug one.
5. Open with notepad file ddraw.ini and add these two lines in [Main] section right before bunch of XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, save it:

ExtraCRC=0xee6eb0eb
6. That's it, you are ready for some speedy dialog/barter window panels. Just run fallout2.exe and enjoy.
Nice find! There is an offsets in readme file. Maybe I will add this to sfall properly.
Edit: it works! Finally, this will make my testing runs 2x time faster
I will add option that will allow to change speed of both animations to any value you wish.
