Look, Ma! Two Heads!
Hey gang, i've been fighting with this issue for a week or so now and can't find anything via google to help so here we go.
A while back my computer kicked the bucket. I had my modded copy of New Vegas backed up, and only just recently got around to replacing my PC. I did a clean install of the game (with the same hard copy I have had for years), then took the whole data file from my backed up copy and dropped it into the install directory.
The problem: many weapons mods don't work. For example there's one I made that adds two unique weapons and one unique armor to the game, very basic variants of already existing in-game weapons (no re-textures or new animations or anything, just new stats). I also downloaded a couple new mods off Nexus from reputable mod makers, like Millennia's RU556 mod. But none of these guns appear where they are supposed to in-game, and when I reopen old save files the weapons and armor are gone leaving my character nude and unarmed. How embarrassing.
The strange bit is that all the DLCs seem to work, my other non-item related mods seem to work, location mods work, and one 3rd party weapons mod (BoilingOil's Edge of Eli), all work fine.
I've played around with the load order in FOMM, I've even tried disabling all the mods except one at a time to systematically test for conflicts. But for what ever reason, the mods that are not working don't even work when used alone. Anyone have any guidance for me?
