Anyone know how to enable VSync in Fallout 1?

First time out of the vault
So, I'm playing Fallout 1 on a new rig.. and my frame-rate is around 2,000 FPS.

I don't really care, but my cards are making this coil whine, and it's really annoying.

I'm trying to enable Vertical Sync, but nVidia Control Panel does nothing..

Is there something I can do?

So, there's no actual way to force Vsync or limit the FPS?

How can that be?
 
It's an old game and doesn't use DirectX by default. Try the unofficial patches and high-res patch.

Yeah, that's what I'm using.

How come no one has solved this issue?

The game is sure to run at 10,000 FPS in a couple of years.
 
Please provide more information about your system, your game (like the exact patches that are installed) and what the actual issue is.
