Bethesda Softworks today announced that three downloadable content packs will be released in the coming months for Fallout: New Vegas. The three packs will be released simultaneously for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Available on May 17th for Xbox 360 and PC and May 18th for PlayStation 3, Honest Hearts takes you on an expedition to the unspoiled wilderness of Utah's Zion National Park. Things go horribly wrong when your caravan is ambushed by a tribal raiding band. As you try to find a way back to the Mojave you become embroiled in a war between tribes and a conflict between a New Canaanite missionary and the mysterious Burned Man. The decisions you make will determine the fate of Zion.

Sorry but god dammit!
It would have been nice if the game had been released this week as I now had vacation and could have played it without any time schedule or restrictions.

Sort of expected I would end up asking that this vacation would be over.
But I guess its understandable, Bethesda must now run up the PR machine to hype the release.

I honestly hope Old World Blues and Lonesome Road will not take that long.

At least the good news is that despite the recent firings at Obsidian the DLCs have not been canceled.

Got back from university, saw the Bethblog post, posted the news as fast as I could. That's pretty much how my afternoon went so far.

Anyway, all the premises sound suitably intriguing (though the idea of being kidnapped.. again is.. not) and the release dates are close enough. You still have to wonder what took them so long.

EDIT: Btw, if you read the press release, they've dated all the DLC, Old World Blues will come in June and Lonesome Road in July.

Indeed, please no more bomb collars or similar plot devices.

I wonder if The Big Empty will be revealed to the source of the Nightstalkers.

I know its really not that special but the Divide being this nature ravaged region actually sounds intriguing.
Instead of just animals and humans, facing dangers like storms and earthquakes as well.

he has a swath bulletproof vest, wonder if we will be able to take his bandage headwear or if its gonna be marked as nonplayer to keep it there so they don't have to model the Burnedman's face.

I would agree and welcome it, if I wouldn't know the shortcomings and clumsiness of the Gamebryo Engine. :|

I guess it's the latter, just like Lanius.
Lazy bastards :D

You can take Lanius' Helmet. And even though Caesar says Lanius' face is badly scarred, or whatever; it looks perfectly normal.

Ah, sorry, I forgot that you could take the helmet.
However, his non-scarryness is pretty lazy, too :D

Probably not but an equippable player version will be modded in five minutes after the DLC is released. :p

Awesome! I want my character to look like a mummy.... wait what? no.

I hope not, or else it could turn into something like The Pitt. Where even when you 'free' the slaves you go back to the Pitt and find them doing the exact same things they did before you freed them. :?

Completely out of the blue I stumbled upon a video that is either a joke or sorta confirms that Honest Hearts (or one of the other DLC's) might feature... The EPA or possibly some of the content from it?

That's Jason Bergman telling Jace Hall to act like... A talking toaster.

Now, If I'm not mistaken the EPA design document had exactly just that. Couple that with the fact that supposedly the area of Honest Hearts is untouched by civilization... Does that mean we'll see some of the ideas from the Nursery/EPA there? Or maybe it's just a shout out to Killap for all the work he put into the Restoration Project (which does have the talking toaster in the EPA)? Or it's just a random joke and I'm looking too much into it?

I have a feeling that the guy in the bandages isn't the Burned man. Might be some kind of impostor.

I hope it is a confirmation of the EPA appearing in Old World Blues XD, the brave little toaster. It would seem too "Portal" now XD

Maybe they'll add a twist and tell you that the world wasn't actually destroyed by nuclear weapons, but by the Combine invasion. Then you get kidnapped by GLaDOS and everyone's happy.
