No.

Just, no.

Eh I am not a huge fan of Guns and Roses myself, I like some of the older stuff but nothing except a few songs really did anything for me.

I'm not a big fan of GnR myself, but comparing it to the rest of their catalog is ridiculous - this album is purely Axl.

When I read the title I thought this topic would be about something much more significant.

Although free Dr. Pepper is enticing.

The Great Firewall of China just blocks and unblocks things randomly. It doesn't seem like there is an official blacklist given the randomness of the blocks.

The only thing so far I noticed which is permanently blocked is the piratebay

Hears some of the songs yeasterday when I was in a recordstore.. I didn't get too exited..

i'm amazed that there are still people who care about G&R...

seriously.

yeah, they had some good stuff in the old days, but hell, with all that has been going on over the years, fuck that shit.

Never gave a fuck about GNR until Ron Thal ( bumblefoot ) joined the band. He's my favourite guitarist and one of my favourite musicians. I think his contribution to the band is awesome. Is it still GNR ? Fuck no and I'm glad it isn't because I couldn't give a fuck less about this band. However, I love most musicians on this album ( Robin Finck, Brain, Buckethead, Bumblefoot ) and I think it's a pretty good alternative rock album. The production is great, it has some good songs and it features great musicians. Not GNR ? Right, but I don't give a shit, I still love that album.

I'm staying with Velvet Revolver. Also note this GNR is not GNR. GNR is basically the Axle Rose band.

I've always been a big fan of GNR and I heard pretty much the whole album on youtube a long long time ago, back when it first leaked. It's definitely not GNR and it mostly sucks. The music is a polished mess and Axl, although sounds great for his age, doesn't (and probably can't) push his chords like he used to and just does his calm and deep vocals, which weren't that great 17 years ago either. There is a couple of decent songs, some with traces of real Appetite for Destruction era GNR but nothing a non-fan would probably appreciate. I will be picking it up, if only just to hear IRS and Shackler's Revenge in their finished form in CD quality but I dont recomment it to anyone else. If you are curious about GNR, get Appetite for Destruction, which is one of the best rock albums ever made.

fuck axl rose, seriously, the narcissist should collapse under the weight of his own ego(not that velvet revolver was any better) He gets some awesom-o musicians working for him though.

I have yet to listen to it, but if he is using that shitty droll mellow voice instead of the shrill high pitched vocals that he's been known for, then I'll pass.

Well Dr.Peppers website went belly up from the heavy traffic when I tried to get my Dr.Pepper voucher.

Determined not to be cheated out of my free soda I called the customer support number and listened to the most homosexual waiting music one could possibly imagine.

30 min later and after having a nice chat with a kindhearted Mexican woman I was informed my coupon will be arriving in 4-6 weeks :P.

Yeah I could care less about the album, I just wanted a free soda.

He's doing just that. I don't recommend you get it.

Holy shit, dude. Tell me you're joking, you must REAALLY love Dr Pepper to go through all that shit to get a voucher for a can. It's not like they're offering life supply of the soda. I can dig your determination though.

It is a 20 oz bottle tyvm :P

and no I do not even drink soda due to my harsh diet I am imposing on myself in attempt to see if I can whip my body into good enough shape to qualify for Force Reconnaissance when I go into the Marine Corps.

It is all water for me and I will probably end up throwing it away or giving it to someone behind me in line.
