Well, I live in Berlin and scenes like that also happen in the area I live at. Therefore this music video gives me chills. This video is ultra brutal horrorshow - reminds me of Clockwork Orange.

Do you also have city areas in your country where stuff like this happens? Or do you think it is a blatant GTA ripoff that would never be possible in your country?

Btw. thats Paris...

makes me feel like going on an urban safari to hunt down the mofos.

i hoped the vid would end as they got their ass kicked by the security guards, that would've been a good ending.

but luckily it's fake, right? problem is, it glorifies the lifestyle.

anyhow, as parts of the country where this kinda stuff happens? well, i hope not. but Charleroi is pretty renouned for housing bad folk. there's a reason why it's the only city in Belgium where cops ALWAYS wear bodyarmor.

Yeah I think that the only message this video transports is hate.

But one could argue that GTA also glorifies that lifestyle.

Aheh, the part where they got sprayed in the faces was pretty funny.

"Yep, we're a bunch of badass thugs, eh Jim?"
"Fo' rizzle my..."
"AHHH!"

P.S.

The slow-motion, music, and camera set-up at the end reminded me of GTA IV, which means I liked the end.

America is a beautiful country, because one can actually own a gun and kill dumbfucks. Of course, this also means that dumbfucks can own a gun and kill you, but hey, that's freedom for you.

Anyone up for a game of NationStates?

Two words- bear mace.

Yea, stuff like this definitely happens here and there. Hopefully at least a few of these little shits will at least get kicked in the balls a few times.

haha that's a cool video. Would be cool if there was a meaningful ending.

One could also argue that Titanic glorifies drowning... or that Mario glorifies eating mushrooms and stomping turtles.

You really can't go down that road without bringing in thousands of other examples which totally kill that argument.

Except the dumbfucks have easier access to said guns than regular citizens, especially in large cities.

No way anybody could have filmed that stuff if it wasn't staged. The camera movements are too "good" to be from a real life situation. Also, in Real Life, someone would've beaten the shit out of those kids after the first minute. There's cameras everywhere these days.

Yeah, but notice on how they pick on innocent /"weak" people, streetside musicians, bar owners, women alone in the subway, lone men on an escalator, people in the street that aren't very physically endowed; etc.

Preying on the weak, making yourself strong....they should concetrate on beating teh shit out of each other, it would be a challenge for them for a change.

Anyway, I feel sorry for those kids - their lives must be completly empty.

Well there is no doubt that this video is staged, but from an artistic standpoint it is executed really well an creates a nearly perfect illusion.

I have read today that the french media won't show this video, because they fear that people will get inspired and start burning cars again in the outskirts.

The film La Haine shows the banlieus more effectively.

Plus it's a really good film.

Glorifying this kind of behaviour is stupid anyway. La Haine's take on this whole cycle of violence makes more sense.

Opening sequence:

The guy is saying (roughly) Heard about the guy who fell off a skyscraper? On his way down past each floor, he kept saying to reassure himself: So far so good... so far so good... so far so good. How you fall doesn't matter. It's how you land!
Which was such a prophetic thing to say back in '95.

And nah, we don't get that kind of stuff here. The Netherlands has violence, but it's so mild it don't matter for shit. People tend to overstate it, but relatively, this country is a'right, I lived in one of the worst areas of the Netherlands for most of my life, never bugged me. I s'pose one day the whole cooking pot will boil over, but we'll see.

It is obviously staged. The band is called "Justice" and is one of the biggest french electro band right now. The logo they have on their jackets is the logo of the band...Oh and Justice usually does not promote violence at all so yeah, I guess it's just good marketing ( because I actually liked that video )...
