Dead Money & Oxhorn

Hi all-
You guys ever heard of a youtuber named Oxhorn? He does Fallout playthrus and has a knack for story telling.

Anyway, I used to post here a long time ago, and he recently started doing playthrus of the NV dlcs, and I thought of this community.

He just broke Dead Money down over a week of hour videos, diving deep into the lore, and it was awesome. He has plans to follow up with the rest of the dlc.

Just wanted to share- I hadn't played NV in sometime so it was a lot of fun watching him tackle the narrative.

I can't stand that guys voice. Plus he's ridiculously long winded. He takes a sliver of something from Fo4 and plumps it up into like a ten minute video, where he says everything about nothing.

Oxhorn? Is he the guy who talked about the birds in Fallout 4 being Institute spies in one video?

He's alright, definitely not the worst, but he does waffle on a bit at times.

I've been watching him... For settlements, the best feature of Fallout 4, IMHO, considering how "good" the rest of the game is. Making lore vids is not his thing - they are way too long... And I must say he's slowly turning into Camelworks, whose commentary on the lighting and graphics of Skyrim: Special Edition still make me laugh like a crazed maniac.

I have a love hate relationship with Oxhorn's channel. He does stretch things way too much sometimes and makes stupid speculation at times. Mostly when he blames the Institute for literally everything, settlement gets wiped out, Institute! Crops fail, Institute! I'm typing this....you guessed it Institute! The video that pissed me off the most was his method for judging a Fallout game. According to him and I'm paraphrasing, you can't judge Fallout 4 based on the original games, you can't judge them based on what Bethesda has done in the past, you can't judge it based on other games and you can't judge it based on your ideal game. Ergo, you can't call any aspect of Fallout 4 bad because there is no legitimate comparison. Since I can't compare Fallout 4 to any game, I'll compare it to a cookie. It was like ordering and paying for a chocolate chip cookie and getting a blob of warm sugar cookie dough and being told to like it.

I thought it was like ordering chocolate ice cream and getting cookies. I like cookies, but I wanted ice cream.

As for the guy, I don't mind him. He tends to waffle on about nothing, but he's fairly inoffensive. He's somewhere between Shoddycast's Storyteller (good) and MrMatty (bad) in FallouTuber terms.

I describe Fallout 4 as getting hot cookie dough from the wrong cookie because it is at least a Fallout game, but its a shitty one.
