Dead Rising 2

Anyone else excited for this? Dead Rising 1 was pretty fun, and this is looking to be even better. It comes out August 31st in the States, and about 2 or so days later for the Europeans. There's a prequel called Case Zero that will come out a month before the release that'll act as the demo.

Here, have a video.

Dead Rising 2 will be awesome. I just wish that the Case Zero DLC thing wasn't exclusive for the 360.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. I guess PS3 has nodemos. Just kidding.

Anyway, there was newer footage from E3, but it sucked because instead of letting Blue Castle do previews they let a Japanese Capcom producer with a thick accent in to demo it.

I don't hate Japanese people, but there's that weird insistence on attempting to speak English that makes me laugh my ass off.

Metal Gear Rising : "Radies and Gentlemen"

Konami: "This game is very exercise!"

etc.

Looks good... I hope they fix the stupid save system and the retarded boss battles.
They fixed the save system by adding more save slots.

As for the boss fights, you're still gonna have to man the fuck up and die. Excessively.

Wow that Gameplayvideo you linked to is boring.
I mean, ist THAT everything you do ingame? =/

Dead Rising 2 is cute but i am going for the left for dead 2, eventually good MP wins every time.

L4D2 is already out if you didn't know. That and eh, while it is fun, there can be annoyances with certain modes, plus the bots horri-bad pathfinding at times.

Dead Rising 2 I'm definitely gonna get though, loved the first one, co-op will only improve the second.

i used to play a lot and while i mostly enjoy RTS and RPG games, i sued to play FPS a lot but with time my priorities changed

its just that i already seen everything FPS can offer and unless its something really really unique i dont even look at it twice, so 2 player CO-OP is nice but its just dont cut it.

the only exception to the rule is MP, i just dont enjoy playing vs bots any more no matter how good they are, i like team play and competition, its more challenging and rewarding. (its like Starcraft singles and MP are different worlds)

which is why i like in L4d2, one hand its not a hardcore shooter, its features more casual fun and yet its not just mindless kill them all but have tactical component (especially versus mode as zombies)
i dont have much time to play so this game is perfect for me, i play it once in while after work with friends and have a lot of fun.

You build improbable weapons, kill zombies en masse, escort survivors to your base, and fight hard ass bosses. That's pretty much it. However, I think they have an older video that demonstrates a lot of the weapon combinations. That's a bit more exciting.

EDIT: Dead Rising 2 has MP, although it's more along the lines of "Who can kill the most zombies in a certain way?" There's also co-op, but I can't remember how many players can be in it.

PC version better not suck...

Loved Dead Rising 1 so I hope I won't be disappointed by this one.

Wouldn't think so, Capcom is possibly the only company that can do decent PC ports.

It wouldn't be that hard to port it to PC anyway. No complex inventory, not that many buttons to use as every attack is either hold 1 button, tap 1 button, or tap two buttons, and the text is already tiny as Hell.

My issue wasn't with the difficulty, it was with the fact that they were all lame, and the bosses had a retarded amount of hp.

I was more interested in Dead Rising 1 based on its concept alone, but that never got a PC port. So this'll have to do instead.
