Different patches, same savegame?

First time out of the vault
Currently I`m playing F2 with 1.02UK patch installed and I`m also using the FalloutPatcher to get 800x600 resolution. I only installed 1.02, because killaps patch broke the game (with FalloutPatcher). I got the weird black screen with pointer trails. Alas, the same has happened again.

Before I start a new game hopefully someone can answer this question:

Can I use the present 1.02UK savegames if I start a new game without the FalloutPatcher and update the game with killaps patch?

So 1.02UK --> Killaps Patch = Savegames still playable?

Sorry about the crappy title, I couldnt come up with anything better at this hour. Its really late here...

Any save game being used before using any version of my patch will NOT work.

On a similar note, check out the unofficial patch thread since I just released a UK version of my patch. I still need people to let me know if it works properly.

I got the latest UK version of your patch. haven't installed it yet obviously. Guess Im just going to have to start a completely new game. Too bad because I happened to get the Wakizashi Blade (typing?) quite early on and it was so much fun...

EDIT* I read the readme in the patch and there was no mention of earlier savegames not working with the new patch. Maybe this is so obvious that it was not necessary to add there, but i think it would be a good detail...
 
Just for future reference, saved games from different mods will not work if there are any differences in certain files. Even in the same mod, if there are changes made to certain files, previously saved games will not work. A couple of examples are vault13.gam and party.txt in the data/data folder.

Are you sure? Check again under the installation part of the readme. It is there... 8)
 
NOTE: If this is the first time you have used my patch, then you will have to start a new game since previous save games will no longer work.
