End of the Game Crash! Help Please!

Ok, i'm at the very end. I mean the VERY end. Horrigan is lying dead next to me, i freed all of my people, got the GECK, etc, etc. Now, when i move to open that final door that takes you back to your boat, i see the video of the Enclave blowing up and then wait patiently for the Epilogue. Then the game crashes saying it performed an illegal operation. Help I don't know what I am doing wrong. I did start the game using a mod to get the best weapons but i didn't use any mod stuff (i.e. horrigan's armor, black hole). Also i haven't been playing with the mod turned on since klamath. I've tried running it with the mod turned on and off and even dropped all my inventory. Still everytime I try to end the game and watch the epilogue it quits with an illegal operation. Anyone know how to fix this?
 
this is just an idea, and probably a bad one at that, but my cd was scratched to f*** and it crashd all over the place, so you could try giving the cd a REALLY good clean, or uninstalling it (it wont delete your saves)then reinstaling it and hope, good look!
 
I have that same problem. But i didn't play with a mod. Is your crash because of kernel32.dll? Mine is. Just wondering.
