Fallout 1 problem...

Still Mildly Glowing
So I've installed Fallout 1, no problem version 1.0 etc etc...


But when I installed these mods:

Fallout Patch 1.3.4 ENG TeamX

Fallout NPC Mod v3.4 English version



Nothing happens when I talk to Ian! (Wich will probably happen with all companions in the game).

Also, even with the TeamX patch the game still says it's version 1.0


I just copy/pasted all files to the fallout folder.



What the fuck I am doing wrong this time? >.>
 
simple, you DIDNT read the readme files who says you MUST install a 1.2 patch in order to make it work.... ;) and unfortunately, the database of NMA has outdated files, the newest version of the patch is 1.3.5, you can get them in this russian site (translated to english by google) http://translate.google.com.br/tran...-8&layout=1&eotf=1&u=www.teamx.ru&sl=ru&tl=en

you need the cathedral fix (i needed it and i dont know WHY it wasnt included in the 1.3.5 patch) the 1.2 patch and the 1.3 patch (i installed when i played the game the 1.2, 1.3 patches and i got to the cathedral and got stuck i used the cathedral fix, i dont know if you can install it before begin the game but i believe you can). ;)

PS: you need to delete your installation and install everything again and i dont know how the fixes will react with the NPC Mod. ;)

Because 'cathedral bug' is not an original game bug, it was introduced by bad ripping. If you downloaded game distributive from some internet site - beware! :) But if you have an original CD (or downloaded an image of the original CD) - you won't have this bug so you won't need 'cathedral fix'.
 
Talk of ripping or illegal downloading Fallout will get your ass tossed out of NMA…or a strike. If it’s a rip of your own copy of the game (backup copy), or downloaded legitimately from Steam then you should mention it…

I'm not encouraging people to download an illegal copy, I'm doing the exact opposite. ;) Only rthe illegal copies of the game have the 'cathedral bug', so we usualy not even talking about it. The original CD's or images, legally bought through the internet (sorry, if they are not images - never bought anything myself this way), doesnt' have it. So... use a legal copy and you won't have any problems with the Cathedral.

I downloaded those mods, but for some reason the NPC mod doesn't work (nothing happens when talking to Ian).

And there's no way to see if the 1.3.4 patch worked.
 
You must install 1.2 patch first. Version number in the main menu will be 1.2. And will not change after installing 1.3 patch. This is one of your problems. Second... try to read readme and re-install all mods in proper order.
