Fallout 2: Slow fades using Killap's RP

Using the GOG version of F2 with Killap's latest RP. Transitions after doing things like using skills, death etc. on the vanilla GOG version are pretty much instantaneous, as you'd expect. Using the RP they take around 4 or 5 seconds, which quickly gets annoying if you're trying to heal. CPU is an OC'd i7, so the PC has more than enough grunt.

Anyone any ideas on what I can do to fix this?
 
Okay, fixed it. Probably to do with sfall, enabled dx9 mode in ddraw.ini and it's now working properly.
