Hey. Before you berate me about this belonging in the Advertisement and Project Announcement boards, let me remind you this is a PROPOSAL of my project, not an official announcement (since only the groundwork is being done). Please don't give me Hell about it. And yes, this is the same message I posted on the Duck And Cover forums.

I'm proposing an online version of the Fallout RPG, but completely text-based (I'm sure some of you have played Zork). The whole Fallout world can be created, along with players creating their own individual characters to their liking. You can travel the lands, interact with other players, and do all (hopefully) the things you'd done in the original game. It's called Fallout MUX (Multi-User eXistence), and it is in the slow process of being created. Slow, because it isn't exactly the easiest job to create a text-based world, code all of the systems, and populate it.

Some of you may have heard of Desolation (www.desolation.org), which is excellent in itself, but is based around the Wasteland game, and much more combat-oriented then I have in mind. Don't get me wrong, I urge you to try it, but I'm saying that I plan to have a different take on the matter (more player-to-player interaction/role-playing then combat).

The purpose of this post was simply to tell you all of this project, and to ask for your opinions, questions, and possibly even your help.

Thanks for your time.
