It seems obvious that one of the Morpheus/Morbid drawings was based off the other. Either that, or Boyarsky had a very mechanic drawing technique. What is it with Boyarsky and earrings though?

Sure? I agree with Kahgan, it totally looks like combat armor.

No it doesn't. The only thing that looks like the combat armour is the presence of the helmet. Remove the helmet and it looks almost exactly like a leather armour. Use your brains, folks.

Also, remember what the leather armour originally was: sportswear -- or, judging by its shape and what it was based off in Mad Max, where it was obviously taken from: American Football armour.
That kind of thing usually comes with a helmet. Understandable that they originally intended for it to have a helmet in Fallout, too -- even though it looks more like some kind of whacky motorbike helmet.
