I'm not an Addict...baby..that's..a...lie.

Fallout 2 (And I assume 1) go into a lot of detail when dealing with little things, for example.. Addicts in the den say things like "Man I've got the shakes" or "I need another hit" something along those lines. But if you use Jet on them they get their fix and start saying crazy junk like they're stoned.."Hellow Mr. Flower" etc..

Anyways, I was wondering if giving beer, drugs, etc had any other direct affects on people.. Like if you pump a bunch of Rotgut into someone, would it be easier to steal from them or easier to sneak around them 'cause their perception will have been lowered? Or do random people in towns, etc not have "stats" so to speak? Also, If I pump Mr. Random Joe Blow up with tons of Jet then wait a day or so and go into combat, Will he only be able to move like..one hex or so? This has probably been asked before, but be nice and gimme an answer anyways - And if you do, go into detail, You're dealing with an idiot here. :)

Actually not many people have asked this before, but it's true. Drugs and alcohol have the same effects on all NPCs. That's why I often stock up on booze early in the game so I can use it on the slavers before I kill them. They can't hit you as very well when they're drunk :-).

I just get my perception to 1 and stagger onto the scene wondering which way to point my SMG.

RE: I'm not an Addict...baby..that's..a...lie.

This does give some interesting possibilities, when you can intoxicate all NPC's.
hmm... I'll hafta think of a good one to use it on...

I brought all my beer with my to the Enclave. Well... I left Myron (the only NPC who doesn't give a flip whether you're a Slaver, Berserker, or Child Killer) on the docks in SF and did the massacre of the Enclave. Well. When I got back, me and Myron had a little victory celebration! We both got drunk as hell and staggered through San Francisco!!!

Please reply....need some answers

1.-At the Den I had a bug.....I slept with the guy that has Anna's locket and I can't find him anymore.....Also, I killed Flick, and I can't find the guy that owes money to the barlady.

2.-What can I do to obtain the jet antidote? The doctor at Vault City don't allow me talk about jet. I have 80% doctor, and has already the vault city medical training and innoculations.

3.-Can you rescue the drawf from the well in Broken Hills? This is after locating the treassure from the horny ghoul.

4.-Are the combat implants worth the trouble?

Thanks

Yeah, Joey seems to dissapear when you sleep with him and leave the area. As for Fred? He should be around somewhere, but since you killed flick he most likely ran far away, and since he's a jet addict, he has lots of action points. I usually find him near the southeastern corner of the map, but he could be anywhere within running distance of flicks place. He is labeled as "Citizen of the Den."

If you can get 80% science skill, you can figure out a "cure" when talking to myron, and then a special dialogue option is available with the VC doc.

Not to my vast-but-nonexistant knowledge, no.

If you've already got the doctor/science skill available to actually access the plans, then you might as well take advantage of them. I'm not sure if you should get their upgrades, though, since each one lowers your charima.

Do not mock me, stripling.
