Patch - save lost

Whenever I install the patch my savegames are lost - Am I doing something wrong or is this supposed to be so? (I got a gold cd, can turn violence on / off ingame etc., so I thought it is UK version --> UK patch?)

It's supposed to do that. They made the patch invalidate your savegames because they changed the game so much... But you can get around this by getting the save game converter from this site... I won't guarantee its functioning, since I've never tried it. The perfect remedy: Never start the game without patching it first.

It used to be there. And it worked too. I'll ask Miroslav why he removed it and if he can re-upload it.
