Iron Man - Excellent Film.

Go watch this movie.

It's got power armor.

Flying power armor.

Don't want to say much else, it's the first good comic-based film. :P

I thought it was terrific. Great action.

Slight SPOILER: Technically that it captured the difficulty of flying with rockets on the bottom of your boots. Also the fact that that kind of suit would weigh a ton, literally. In characterization that it depicts Tony Stark as brilliant but still despicable in much of his personal behavior.

On a side note my girlfriend did not think Tony's depravity was funny at all. She's kind of uptight on things like that.

Agreed... And the scene at the end of the movie goes in line with Marvel's announcements for an Iron Man 2/Avengers movie in 2010.

Great movie through and through

Absolute 10 out of 10. I haven't been so entertained by a movie in a long, long time. Downey Jr's performance is Oscar-worthy.

Best superhero film ever made.

You're off the edge of the map, mate. 'Ere there be spoilers.

Some people were surprised to later find out about Samuel L. Jackson's appearence at the end. Those same people also hate end-credits.

Wow, its the first movie not being bashed AT ALL here. People even had negative things to say about Batman Begins. I need to check this one out!!

I liked Iron Man better than the Spiderman movies and I am a diehard spidey fan........

SPOILER ALERT

The mentioning of War Machine in itself made me cream my pants. When he said I am Iron Man at the end I fucking jumped out of my seat and yelled fuck yeah. I did miss the Nick Fury cameo, but am aware of it's existence. Avengers and SHIELD are all coming soon baby. I can see Iron Man kicking Mandarins ass all the way to China in the next movie.

I absolutely love Spider-Man but those movies are fucking travesties and don't represent the character in any way shape or form. I had to drown myself in whiskey to get the shitty taste of Spider-Man 3 out of my mouth.

All of the nerd references (War Machine, SHIELD, the Blackbird) were awesome. This movie was fan service done right - none of the references alienated anyone from the story, but were done in such a way that non-comic fans could understand and enjoy the scenes and characters.

The Nick Fury cameo is probably the coolest piece of fan service in any movie ever. Can't wait for Captain America and the inevitable Avengers film.

What I'm wondering is, since this Nick Fury is Ultimate Nick Fury, whether or not any of the new movies are going to be based more on Ultimate series?

First of all, this movie was my first exposure to Iron Man. I never read the comics or watched the cartoon or anything. That being said...

I didn't think the Movie was a 10 out of 10, maybe an 8/10...

It was a good movie, worth the money, and I'd recommend people go see it.

My main problems were that I felt the movie moved too slow and didn't have enough action and I felt the technology was unbalanced. I can believe a flying, bullet proof, weapons platform worn as armor okay, but the artifical intellegence and hologram interaction seemed way too advanced for the rest of the move.

I liked seeing the F22 "In action" though.

TONY STARK IS A MULTI-TRILLIONAIRE AND CAN DO WHATEVER HE WANTS WITH HIS MONEY (also, anyone else notice he used a wacom pen? awesome)

Dare I ask...? How much alcohol do you have to consume to get over "One More Day"?

Tobey Maguire swinging around without a mask for 90% of the movie and shouting "WOOHOO" every five seconds does not a Spider-Man movie make. Almost everything about all three of those movies is horrendous - the only saving grace comes from some of the more experienced cast members like Alfred Molina, Willem Dafoe, and JK Simmons.

If you liked Spider-Man 3 you obviously suck at life and should kill yourself.

One More Day was enjoyable until the last issue, and even with the shitty retcon/twist it was well written and I could feel Peter and MJ's emotions running rampant. JMS is a brilliant writer. However - why in the world they would retcon one of the most interesting and controversial changes to the character in the past fifty years is beyond me. The story could've gone anywhere from there - Brand New Day has simply brought Spidey back to the same old boring status quo. I don't buy Amazing Spider-Man anymore despite the fact that it comes out three times a month. That's $12 I could be spending on three other books that are consistently more interesting.

Iron Man was definitely a great film worth seeing... I found the story line in regards to how he created the first suit laughable but asides from that, enjoyed the movie throughly.

I felt the science behind putting the suit together VERY reminiscent of the Starcraft II trailer. It even seemed like some of the same camera angles were used.

Lucky me, I have the pleasure of watching this in a brand new digital projection theater with reclining seats, 21+ with food and alcohol available via waiter before the movie. Pwnage.
